NBA 2025 NBA Offseason thread

Olynyk sporting Patty Mills’s old number. Can’t wait for the season to start.

Also I can imagine the Spurs subreddit sniffers when Jeremy went on the mic “he’s a Spur for life :(.”

Yeah, 100 posts are too many.
Spurstalk was at 25 posts per page, I'd say 25-30 is a fine balance.
All right guys, it's back to 25 per page. 100 is kind of a pain for me too while I'm trying to work on a theme because every change I make returns me to the top of the page, and I'd have scrolllllll back to the bottom to view my results. Sorry, other guy. We'll eventually get around to checking out add-ons.

Genuinely curious what the point of that is? Does it somehow give us some kind of rights to him? Or was it a way to give him some money?
Maybe they stumbled onto something of his on social media or some other display of bad behavior.

I doubt they’re vetting these types of signings as thoroughly as say a 1st round pick. Not to cast a poor opinion of the guy. Just a wild guess.

Doesn’t he become Austin Spurs roster material after being cut by the big club?

That's what I was thinking might be the case, in which case it makes sense... but I have no clue?

I dropped cable way back, so I’m going to miss most national games. I get FanDuel each year to see most local games.
Waiting for a FD broadcast schedule for local games can’t find any info so far.
I’ve always had Prime, but wouldn’t pay for Peacock.

If you have an Amex platinum, Peacock is free, FYI. Paramount is also free with Amex Platinum, because Walmart+ is free and Peacock comes with it.

These aren't reasons alone to get an Amex Platinum... but if you already have one, it's a nice bonus.

Yeah, my wife does the WM+ each year, so we get P+ included. P+ used to show TNT games, but that won’t help anymore.
I have two AmEx cards, personal and business. Don’t think they are Platinum though.

The broadcast schedule seems to be all over the place this season. Between FD and Prime, at least I’ll see a good chunk, although not some high-profile games. I can watch highlights like Silver suggests…

Gotta feel good with this year's team vs the dead weight of last season's squad. Much better players and some intriguing lineup possibilities.
I have a million ideas about how this could play out, but, one scenario I hope to see is the 3-2 Zone with Wemby up top in the middle ala Cleveland/Mobley & Miami/Bam. That would not be fun for an opposing offense in crunch time. I'd guess the starters will be a work in progress, but, I'm fascinated to see what the coaches decide for Game 1 and where it lands byGame 41.

Good way to put things in perspective.

Anyone keeping up with the Kuminga saga? Crazy that it's almost time for training camp and this still hasn't been resolved. They have guys like Melton and Horford just sitting by waiting on this situation to get sorted so they can officially sign. Sounds like the Kings want him in a S&T but Dubs don't want anything they have. Wonder how this all shakes out

Last I read the sticking point was Kuminga wanted the last year to be a player option.

I can’t think of any long term issues with that. It’s not like they got a pipeline of young players.
