NBA 2025 NBA Offseason thread

Can't wait for next season tbh. Already got my tickets for the home opener

Was racking my brain on how we can find Cutewizard... just dawned on me that we should comment on every Spurs-related YouTube video "Cutewizard, come to baselinebums.com" and she'll be here in an instant.

Got me dead 😂😂😂

I miss when you didn't need to win tickets to go to the scrimmage. Pinche Wemby

The Thunder say rookie forward/center Thomas Sorber sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee during an offseason workout in Oklahoma City yesterday. He will miss the entire 2025-26 season.

Damn, what a downer. I know a lot of people on ST wanted Sorber too.

absolute bummer for Sorber

obviously not great news for Harper... but the timing could have been worse

Know it'll be an unpopular opinion but his injury issues the past year are becoming concerning. Obviously nothing that screams red flag like knee or foot issues but so far in 2025 he's had a high ankle sprain, a groin injury, and a torn ligament in his thumb.
Those are all pretty normal bball injuries, and none of them kept him out for any amount of time.

When they happen often it becomes an issue tbh. Manu was the same way and you obviously just learned to live with the injury concerns, but its something to consider if the time comes to choose between him and Castle.

Sucks for Sorber. But also interesting that this will be OKC's 3rd lotto pick in 4 years who will miss their entire rookie season.

Yeah, people stressing about Harper’s injury that will likely have him back for the beginning of the season need some perspective.

You’re not wrong but some will be on edge considering our 2 main guys already had injury issues from last year. I probably would be more worried if Pop was still coaching and he gave Harper the “Splitter treatment” in his rookie season when Tiago missed training camp.

theres no reason for long term concern with harper. remember when everybody thought steph curry had glass ankles and would never be able to stay healthy? pepperidge farm remembers

the time you get concerned is when you have repeated catastrophic injuries. foot fractures, torn ligaments, significant back issues etc

I'm sure he'll be fine but like you said in the other thread, rook missing his first camp is never ideal

Yeah I'm not worried about Harper... but it definitely sucks that he'll miss at least a chunk of camp
