For the doldrums of summer.

Oh shit can we post full games and/or long segments of games here? I wish there was more on YouTube. Sometimes I go back and watch runs like this but I know there are so many more legendary moments that are probably hidden on there somewhere.

Honestly I can’t believe it’s almost been 10 years since Timmy retired. Still feel like it was recent when we last saw him on the court.

For some reason, I had to think of the Spurs-Hornets series that went to Game 7 in 2008. Crazy that it's been 17 years ...

Isn't this the year we had to play the Lakers like less than 2 days after the end of this game? Weren't they stuck on a plane too or something

I don't remember.
What I do remember is the Spurs blowing a pretty big lead in Game 1 of this series.

I thought the spurs were cooked after going down 2-0 that series and that was when I started to hate Chris Paul before he became a Spur. Was such a great game 7 win on the road.

I believe this was the case. Same series where they had that no call foul on Brent Barry that basically sealed the series for the Lakers.

This is pretty cool as Sean was about to finish his career when I started to watch basketball.

Sean took a deferred salary his last year, basically a loan to the Spurs, so they could build the original practice facility.

That 2008 Hornets WCSF series was intense. TD was rumored to have food poisoning and was sick for G1 with 103 degree fever and flu like symptoms. SA had to dig out of a 0-2 deficit. I recall after winning G7 the Spurs had to fly out to LAL immediately for G1 of the WCF next round. Plus plane mechanical "issues" so they sat on the tarmac for hours and players/staff had to sleep on the plane. G7 was May 19 and G1 was May 21. Spurs had less than 24 hours turn around time between series by the time they arrived in LA.
