Given the concerns voiced in the recent game thread about Wemby's physical state, I was wondering if anyone knew if he actually had the surgery to solve the underlying issue that caused the clot, since Wemby seemed to avoid giving concrete answers:
- Brian Windhorst: "Victor Wembanyama had surgery to get rid of the blood clot."
- Michael C. Wright: "He's not telling us that. We definitely point-blank asked him during the end-of-season interviews, and he wouldn't say whether or not he had surgery."
- Brian Windhorst: "Well, I'll leave that alone for now, but I thought he had surgery ("thoracic outlet decompression") to like fix the rib or something. But OK, I'm not gonna step in anything that I can't step out of, so I'll just leave it alone with that."
With the help of
@dn0774 who pointed to Kevin Hart's interview:
It seems he definitely did:
Just in case anyone had the same doubt and doesn't check game threads.
