Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

Im fucking pissed. If we lost game 2 with Vic healthy, it’s an “oh well” thing. But an injury to him is just fucking pissing me off to a whole nother level right now.
The injury sucks but it’s things you can’t control. I just can’t believe Fox choked in that fucking game when I’ve been trying to defend him all season long. Fuck me, I guess lol.

Strange he did not put either arm, elbow or hand out to break his fall.
As if he was carrying his infant baby out of an upstairs fire and had to toss the baby to the waiting fireman with a huge pillow landing.

His face took the whole fall.

Watching him I’m sitting there thinking this is his opportunity to fend off the haters that doubted him during the season with these types of situations. And he just completely shit the bed all over the place.

There is enough talent on this team that literally he could sit out the entire series and we should still advance. There’s really no excuse for us not to advance against this Portland team. They don’t have a huge amount of offensive fire power.

Gotta be honest I actually thought he was just lying there eyes closed for a longer duration trying to sell the flagrant. Fuck me he actually legit got unconscious for a wee bit.

As an MMA fan, I feel like Ive gotten desensitized on concussions. Is it really that dangerous? If he gets cleared for game 5, would that mean 0 lingering effects?

The good news is in sports today, Everyone is much more aware of how serious this could be. 30 years ago, if he’s awake, they would just send him back out there.
It’s great that he didn’t go to the hospital, it could be a 24 hr deal where he just takes some Tylenol and 2 good nights of sleep and he may feel back to normal. if he was vomiting then we may be fucked here

Overuse injuries are understandable, but IT is so annoying how many freak incidents/ailments have befallen Wemby in his short career. Remember when he sprained his ankle after tripping into a Mavericks ball-boy during the warm-up. He barely made it to eligibility for his DPOY after a rib contusion on a stupid play only to get concussed the day after the announcement of his award win. It is beyond frustrating because other fanbases don't have to worry about this stuff with their franchise players except maybe Sixers fans with Embiid

All depends on the severity of the concussion and how he responds to it. Everyone's different. With that said, I don't expect him to play in Game 3, though I'd love to be wrong.
