Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

That has nothing to do with impact. Wemby just standing in the paint deterring people from going at the rim is definitely more impactful and more valuable than Sarr contesting a bunch of shots because no one respects him enough not to challenge him. Similar case with Steph Curry on offense, like that game with Davidson vs Loyola where he was happy sitting in a corner doing nothing with 2 guys on him while his teammates were playing 4 on 3 and his team won by 30. He went scoreless but was more impactful and valuable than 15 players who outscored him that game.

thats why the iguodala FMVP is a joke... the mvp of those finals was Curry obviously.

To a lesser extent but still same goes for Tony FMVP. Tony was destroying Cavs defense thanks to Tim gravity... to an even lesser extent but still Tim was the mvp of the Spurs in 2014

Didn't that clown used to pretend to be a Spurs fan?
Yea. He jumped on the Spurs bandwagon during the Tim/Tony/Manu era. Then he jumped on the OKC bandwagon once they started winning and does nothing but glaze SGA now and hate on everyone else, especially Wemby and Jokic (SGA's competition). He's a shameless retard and that's always been his schtick because he knows it drives in ratings tbh.

I don't know why people listen to and continue to fuel the majority of former players or these generalist talking heads, with their agenda's and schtick's. Most have zero credibility as analysts.

Media better be careful conflating Wembanyama's blunt, literal, thoughtful responses for arrogance or the hypocrites run the risk of turning him into another monotone, cliche athlete.

This is what's hilarious to me. The deadline for MVP voting is at the end of the regular season. It's a regular season award, yet the media brings up playoff experience or playoff records. WTF does that have to do with anything? If thats the case, Lebron, Steph, KD would be MVP every single year. It makes zero sense. No one knows how to vote for shit.

To make it even weirder, I've heard multiple people, including Reggie Miller, say that Wemby will need the Spurs to finish #1 to win MVP... but if the Spurs finish #1 it will be at the very end of the season and by then most votes will already be cast.

Apparently voters simultaneously think of the playoffs for this regular season award while not waiting for the regular season to even end before voting.

Media awards are so fucking stupid.
I'm still jaded Dak was robbed of NFL MVP by that runningback Lamar

They dont wait til the end of 82 games before voting?

Apparently not, according to Reggie. Kind of ridiculous.

And then you have old fucks like Kornheiser and Wilbon saying they have Wemby below Jaylen Brown because they are too old to stay awake to watch anything but East Coast games

That’s beyond stupid, downright irresponsible. Considering these guys can lose money by these awards.

I hate advocating for multi-millionaires but no wonder the players hate the media.

I am totally fine with someone saying SGA deserves MVP over Wemby. I can also get behind Jokic being ahead of him as well, although I kind of clearly disagree on that at this point.

Anyone else (Luka and especially Cade/Jaylen Brown) is completely indefensible IMO.
