KJ has really continued to upgrade and refine that bullying opponents in the paint move.

He's not going to be able to push everybody but wow is he looking good. Last night he had back to back plays.

Kaleb was on a training camp roster or summer league, I don’t recall which exactly now.
 
So is that a yes to being his brother… or he just a guy he became friends with when he was on the training camp roster?
 
I'm sure I remember Keldon mention his brother playing basketball a while back. Don't remember his name, so I am guessing it is Kaleb.

Yea Kaleb is his older brother. He played at Georgetown from 2015-18 before playing for the Austin Spurs for 4 years after going undrafted. He’s been on Phoenix’s G-League affiliate the past couple years now.
 
What a year for Keldon, man. Hopefully capping it off with a 6MOTY award and a ring :st-stirthepot:
 
So how we feeling on the KJ for 6th man? Surely gotta be a heavy favorite

I wonder if Devin would say all of these exact things as well. He seems to have really bought into his role. I was really down on both of these guys at one point, and they have definitely made me look silly for it! POWER OF FRIENDSHIP FOREVER!

Great read from KJ. Good timing as well, needed a pick me up before the playoffs. Let's get it tbh.
 
Keldon is the kind of dude to get you ready to run through a brick wall. People think basketball is all about plays and abilities and the resulting stats... but they don't put enough emphasis on the chemistry.

I'll use the discussion about Fox as example. Everyone is ready to trade him because of their preconceived notion of what he should be doing... but read what KJ has to say about him and look at our 62-20 record, well ahead of schedule. He's a critical part of that. This team is a TEAM... a collective... not just a bunch of interchangeable machined parts.

Go Spurs Go.
 
awesome stuff. players tribune articles tend to be good, and this was no exception

nobody ever doubted that keldon was a culture guy. power of friendship. but its him buying into his reduced role and finding a way to maximize his effectiveness in that role which has been the difference maker this year, and thats a point of emphasis in the article as well (though he doesnt really get into any specifics about how his game has changed)
