I never claimed all Serbians can shoot, just that guys who shoot 80+% from the line ( Topic shot 87.8%) have a good track record of developing a 3 ball.

The craziest thing about it was the play to reach the triple double in the first place.

You're taking this out of context, that was thinking aloud in in October under the premise that "Harper starts strong and Castle shows no improvement", if that happened I floated several basic frameworks that could be considered, including that one you mention, Brandon Miller, and others, which could include other assets.

Likewise, with Vassell the premise was that, if he didn't show improvement by the trade deadline, Spurs might be tempted to salary dump his contract, so I went team by team and floated a dozen "worst case" ideas that would be realistic, including DDR who could be used or bought out (next year he has 10 million guaranteed only).

I have no problem owning up to what I post and I know nuance is not your strong suit, but if you're going to cherry pick at least do it well.

Also, my criticism in the post you quoted was not about liking Ty Ty Washington in light of how bad he was, but that the justification for liking him had nothing to do with intrinsic qualities and instead the rather anecdotal fact that he was playing for Kentucky, who had a long track record of successful guards at the NBA level, which was clearly a poor argument.

Had I based my justification on Jarace Walker being a former Houston Cougar and their successful track record of NBA big men or DDR being a former 9th pick with a history of successful 9th picks, then it would be reasonable to draw a parallel between those posts. Since it was nothing of the sort, you being reminded of it lets me know the point went way over your head. Maybe next time.

It’s not about liking or disliking him as a prospect that’s in question. It’s brushing off shooting concerns due to his nationality that is being discussed

Leonard is not a passer, he's a finishing SF more or less. Castle, despite people STILL trying to claim otherwise, is a point guard.
