Player The blessed howl's moving Castle of Stephon Javonte

I like how on Castle's account, he defines himself as a 6'7" PG
And why wouldn’t he? Since a slow start, he’s been the engine of this offense, and a great distributor. With Wemby out, he’s had to do more than usual, and his TOs have crept back in,but I see him going back to that stretch where he had 47 assists over 4 games with 10 TOs with Wemby returning to draw attention.

You’re missing context to my post from some other poster that @OK Computer knows who I’m talking about. It’s ok.

Castle is such a gift for us. I think he will be an All-Star by next season at the latest. I'm surprised by the lack of love for him here sometimes. Show me a 2nd year guard you'd take over him. His ceiling is so high, his motor and toughness are elite and he's got great IQ and clutchness. He and Harper could challenge Tony and Manu as the greatest Spurs backcourt ever if they stay here long enough. Super coachable, too.

He is great. Obviously, there is room for improvement, mainly FT, 3 points and TO but the dude is averaging 18.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.5 steals on 50% shooting

Interestingly, Harper has pretty much the same percentage for FT (71.7 vs 71.6%) and 3 pointers (27.3 vs 27..6%). I think that this and Wemby's difficulty with the double team is going to be our limitation this year but those are fixable

Hopefully all three of those guys (Steph, Dylan, Vic) keep improving in those areas as the season goes on.

I’m very interested in how OKC would guard castle and Harper. Dort vs castle with that physicality would be a good test.

Shai/JDub on Harper and Caruso on fox. It would great gauge on how far along our three guards are along.

Castle relishes physicality. The passing lanes is what he has to watch out for. Castle really has no weakness if he’s knocking down those shots and not being sloppy.

Even without a 3-pt shot..... castle without turnovers is a top-20 nba player.

that offseason training regimen is giving us good outcomes

I hope Harper and Carter Bryant got the same offseason attitude also

I have suggestion to cut down Castle's TO.

Just go main character mode and attack the rim instead of passing. :st-lol:

A lot of his TO are due to his "mid-air long passes". He should just attack the rim and try get to the line or drop off short passes near the rim.

The fact that this guy kept battling through even when the refs were not calling the fouls… a testament to his character. We saw last week what megastars like Luka do when fouls dont get called, they whine and dont get back on defense. Castle kept going at them and kept attacking.

Cherry picking, Steph is 7 of 15 from 3 over his past 4 games (6/13 in 3 games since returning from hip flexor).

Needs to cut down on those ridiculous cross court passes he tries to make that constantly turn into TOs but he really has taken a leap this season and imo all star selection is not out of the realm of possibility
