Trade Spurs Trade Ideas

We should wait till more PF targets increase their value. Could have had Jollins for filler and a SRP a few months ago. Probably not on the market now. Beys price is too high for what the player historically had been.

You snooze, you lose. Spurs wasted those opportunities.

A lot of teams ask for a lot of compensation for their players, but as as the trade deadline nears , they may start lowering heir asking price out of desperation. Lets see what shakes out in the next few days. Hopefully we don't wait too long. In the same vein, I'm sure some teams are waiting for us to practically give away Sochan , Olynyk or what ever spur is made available.

Remember, no deal is better than a bad deal. Get on the phones Brian Wright.

Honestly, I think we are looking at deals based around Aldama, Huerter, Knecht, and Alvarado. Obviously not all of them, but maybe two. I also think the hold up on getting it done is in three parts 1) Giannis and where he goes and what might be pryed out of that, 2) Giannis from the perspective of the Bucks trying to get us to offer a package around Castle (who sat tonight), and 3) us waiting to see if Nola drops their asking price on TMIII.

I think there's more going on in the FO right now than most believe..

You forgot the biggest domino of all

4) how many FRPs does Sochan go for

Rumor is spurs FO do not want Gannis he does not fit the wemby timeline for long term and the assets required to get him. I said all along I think the media is just trying to stir up hype with Victor and Gannis thinking twin towers 2.0

That is the rumor and it fits with my thoughts here.

Demar DeRozan to Detroit
Tobias Harris to Spurs
Olynyk/Sochan + picks to Kangz

If Spurs can’t get anything good back for Sochan, maybe use his salary to add a rotation vet with an expiring deal. If DDR is changing teams, seems appropriate for the Spurs to help him again.

DeRozan wants to stay in Cali. He'll only go to the Lakers, Clippers or Warriors.

Spurs should be all over Reid/McDaniels if they're available, either of them would be great for us.
Does it sound like they're trying to trade them elsewhere to acquire assets for a Giannis trade, or would they be traded to Milwaukee as part of the package?

We can give MIN their swap back which would be helpful for the Giannis package.
And I think it would be worth using ATL picks in this case.

If Mavs are blowing it up, we should give them Olynyk's expiring and some SRPs for Klay.

You'd need the jaws of life to pry me out of a pool of my own semen if we somehow got Jaden McDaniels without giving up our top 6 players.

McDaniels and TM3 are the players that at the 0 hour I'm probably giving up 3 first round picks for. They would really complete this team.

I think getting McDaniels is almost impossible. The Bucks would want to keep this guy on their team rather than trade him for 3 Spurs picks.

These would all be great moves. I just wondered if we'd be dealing with Minnesota or Milwaukee in that scenario. But giving that swap up and Atlanta picks for either of those players would be great.

McDaniels would make us the best defensive team in this modern 3pt era.

I disagree.
He's an elite role player, but tanking teams have no use for those.

We own that MIN swap and ATL pick/swap, while ATL owns 2027 MIL pick.
Maybe something could be done there.
