Nah man gotta get rid of even the Furphy level seconds for Giannis; trade's gotta hurt a little to be realistic.but not the good SRPs
they're not giving Rollins in a Giannis tradeIt's tough to make a Giannis trade work. I think a starting point would be:
Devin + Castle + Sochan + Olynyk + 2027 (atl) + 2029 1st
Giannis + Rollins + Trent Jr
My sense is that Fox would have to be the big contract going out to make it mean something for MIL. Dont see it at the deadline, but could in the summer after the extension kicks in and the Spurs determine they are ready to turn the keys over to Harper. It's tough to make a Giannis trade work. Fucking Joe Dumars, LPMQLPYeah if Giannis goes to ATL that’ll be brutal.

How soon you think the Spurs are going to be used as leverage, which would be par for the course?
Of course they will, but it'll come down to the strength of the other credible offers that materialize (and that Giannis OKs). Think that means Atlanta, us, and OKC (gulp!) -- struggle to see others that have the firepower unless the player says "only this team."they're not giving Rollins in a Giannis trade
if i'm milwaukee im mandating that Harper be a part of the trade, potentially mandating both him and castle. tell the spurs to go win with the trio of Giannis/Wemby/Fox and whatever parts are left over.
I‘m saying long term. Market is definitely slimPersonally I do not feel any urgency to move HB to the bench this season. He's playing great, is a huge culture lift to the team, and it's not like there are a ton of upgrades available at a price we're likely willing to pay.
I view the starting 4 as more of a "next year" problem myself.
Need to call this "The Brian Wright Special"I wouldn't be surprised if Wright is open to being the third team that would help facilitate the trade.
Olynyk and Sochan expirings are there for the taking and if we're getting a legit veteran, we might even use a FRP.
As for more realistic stuff, I don't think Spurs will even look for a high end PF.
I think they really think Bryant can become an elite 3-D guy.
His athleticism is off the charts, he already has a solid jumpshot and he's made noticable game sense and awareness improvements over the past month.
Mitch playing him in close games when he doesn't really need to says a lot, he's averaged almost 10 minutes over the past 5 games.
I have no doubt he'll develop into an all-defense guy because he's got all the tools, his ceiling will depend on his shot.
If that ends up a top 3 pick, wouldn't Atlanta rather/want to keep that pick? And if it's number 1, I doubt they'd even want to trade if for Giannis.Of course they will, but it'll come down to the strength of the other credible offers that materialize (and that Giannis OKs). Think that means Atlanta, us, and OKC (gulp!) -- struggle to see others that have the firepower unless the player says "only this team."
Freaking NOLA, may have just given Atlanta the choicest asset of them all in that 2026 FRP.
He'd be a perfect fit, but he gets injured often and his contract is an overpay. And we know he wanted the Knicks. Could we be one of the teams that would facilitate the trade and grab OG Anunoby? What would you be willing to give for him?
I think this is an interesting angle... for years, the Spurs have always been used as that stalking horse team that might come in, which maintains a floor for value in trades. How soon you think the Spurs are going to be used as leverage, which would be par for the course?
Was thinking about it yesterday.Giannis in Utah would actually be interesting, tbh.
would be around KAT. problem is knicks empied the draft cupboard in the Bridges tradeOk so looks like Giannis will be traded to whichever team he decides to go to

Yea, maybe they wouldn't include Rollins, but I'm not thrilled about a Giannis deal from our perspective anyway. That would probably be my top offer and if someone tops it then thats fine and I wouldn't feel bad about it.they're not giving Rollins in a Giannis trade

I've thought Fox as well, but it's looking more like Giannis will be moved before the deadline. I'd prefer moving Fox over the summer in a Giannis deal, but I don't think he's still available then.My sense is that Fox would have to be the big contract going out to make it mean something for MIL. Dont see it at the deadline, but could in the summer after the extension kicks in and the Spurs determine they are ready to turn the keys over to Harper.
Then you are looking at something like Fox/Dev for Giannis/Kuz's expiring. Then you are fighting about how many picks, etc.
Knicks traded away their '27, '28 swap, '29 and '31 FRPs for Bridges.would be around KAT. problem is knicks empied the draft cupboard in the Bridges trade
