Misc Spurs Throwback Thread

It may be for his playing career and his coaching career combined. They usually do that with basketball.

I loved Doc as a player and I remember when he fell to the floor and got hurt and ended the Spurs chances of winning a title that year.
Who have they ever done this for? It is specifically designated this is for coaching. There are people in HOF twice for playing and coaching. Who has ever been indicted for a combo?

Freudian slip?

I bet the combo was the only way to justify getting him in there.

You're right. They don't. I was trying to think of a reason. There isn't one that makes sense to me.

The Spurs were in the Eastern Conference finals in mid April in 1978. Today we are just about to start Round 1.

I remember hearing that story a while back, either Rasheed is either repeating himself or that clip is old.

I think I heard Sheed say it on his podcast (might have just repeated it on AtS). Speaking of, anyone know what happened with Rasheed's podcast? I watched a little bit of it a couple of years ago, but I don't know if he quit/didn't want to do it anymore, doesn't have the time or what. I think it could have been good if they had of gotten a couple of other guys/former players or teammates that really know the game on it. Bonzi Wells wasn't enough to carry it.
