Official End of Season Awards Thread

You're probably right, but ROY is mostly about the rookie seasons, not future projections.
If you mean it's about statistics, you're correct. Somebody mentioned sanity and I'm not sure that it's about sanity and I'm not sure it's about rookie seasons because Dylan Harper had a really good one.

Last few weeks of the regular season killed Kon’s chances. Hell his play in performance probably did too tbh.

Yeah that's the thing about people who give him credit for performing in meaningful games... He had some of his worst games towards the end of the season when Charlotte was vying for good Playoff position.

By no measure did Dylan Harper have a better rookie season than Kon or Cooper, and I'd have given Edgecombe the vote over him as well because of overall production. The sanity comment was related to Kon vs. Cooper. Harper wasn't even in the conversation for ROY and rightfully not. This award should never be about which good rookie was on the best performing team.

I think he'll be really special but those other guys probably will too. This is a great class.

Team results is a big stat when they're figuring out MVP. I'm not sure why it's not a bigger stat when you have a rookie who really contributes, but whatever.
