Game Thread Spurs (50-18) @ Kings (18-51) (Tue 3/17/2026) [9:00 PM CDT]

Listening to Reynaud’s postgame interview… dude doesn’t even sound French. No wonder we passed on him.

In all seriousness, sounds like a good kid. I’m rooting for the Kangz to be able to build something decent around him. Their fans deserve better than this. Small Market Solidarity 💜

Demar is in the perfect situation right now. He can pad his stats, not play any defense, and there’s absolutely no pressure to win, so there’s no chance of his usual meltdown under pressure
Don’t forget - He can now launch last second, full court shots at end of quarters without having to worry about i messing up his fg%. “I can shoot 3’s, I just choose not to”. - Demar Derozan

Bad take tbh
All things considered, I think the Suns are our best realistic first round matchup given the current odds: overachieving team with inferior star power (Booker who is often banged up) and full of second-rate role players who tend to shrivel in the playoffs. Dillon Brooks is an annoyance who prone to post-season meltdowns and is coming off a broken hand surgery. I honestly think they are an easier match-up than Clippers. Spurs have to beat them next game to make sure they stay at 7th while Ant is out for T-Wolves

DeRozan was unpleasant to watch as a Spur but it's so much wasted energy to hate on him. It's like being upset the Spurs traded Duncan for Richard Jefferson. The Spurs just took the worst deal possible because Nephew was being such a loser behind the scenes. Also think it's uncalled for to make fun of his depression.

Weird hill to die on to also say Derrick White is a depressing nobody (not addressed to tearsofmorningdew).
Derrick White was a well-liked nobody here. He ended up being a GREAT Celtic for their last Championship year. It was a perfect situation where he wasn’t expected to be the leader on the team and there were fair, if not low, expectations. Brown and Tatum handled the heavy lifting and shouldered the scrutiny for losing.

When White was a young Spur, he strung together a couple of good playoff games against Denver but shit the bed when Jamaal Murray responded to his challenge. That was that. We learned what White’s ceiling was. Terrific role player & team player.

The “depressing” part of that list of players I shared was the sheer lack of entertainment value in seeing them play. Everyone seemed to have a foot out the door looking for their next opportunity. We had NO superstar and the players were leaderless. No one played with any heart & Coach Pop spent more time lecturing people on his personal politics. I’m thrilled I don’t have to see him pacing the sidelines anymore. His act grew old fast. I wish he would have retired sooner. Mitch Johnson was a GREAT replacement. Humble and hard-working.

Isn’t it nice to just enjoy good basketball again with a young, talented & hungry roster? Players are winning, having fun and embracing the fans. The coach talks basketball without being sarcastic or bullying reporters. What a concept. Having respect for other professionals trying to do their jobs.

Did not get to watch the game server decided to blow up long night watched the highlights looked like a cake walk for the team man the Kings are terrible
