Its always been all playoff games are all nationally televised. The difference is that this year they eliminated the local broadcasts for the first round.

Sad. But I don't really like Toby tbh. I miss Bill Land and/or Joel Meyers. Will still miss Sean. I remember back in the good old days we would get the entire 1st round and then one random lucky game in the 2nd round, typically later in the series, with Bill/Sean or Joel/Sean. In 2005 and 2006 it was game 6 and both road victories.

That is a 6 days off for wemby to rest his ass. No excuse he can’t play 36mpg in the playoffs.

I like Toby but I agree that I miss Bill because he was just so good. I like the big brother little brother energy Sean and Toby had this year though. I like some of the national crews but man I hate how bad Doris Burke has become and for the love of god no SVG please.

Doris Burke was actually decent as a sideline reporter in the 2000s and somewhat of a babe in that role but that's where she belonged all along and DEI screwed everything up and she and her voice haven't aged well.

SVG is awesome tbh. But I also liked JVG.

JVG was best with Marv Albert and Mike Fratello back in the day. Didn't particularly like the Mark Jackson/JVG era with Breen, really because Mark Jackson was just awful. Breen is overrated as hell and has had way too much handed to him on a silver platter (especially when certain guys like Al Michaels and Brad Nessler left) compared to his mediocre at best announcing talent, similar to the way-too-undeserving role that Fox NFL gave Kevin Burkhardt when Joe Buck left.

What airline? Hawaiian has had Starlink for awhile and Alaska just started rolling it out and it works pretty amazingly (and free). Southwest WiFi is free now as well (shockingly)

Nice, you'll be golden. It has been years since I've been on a Hawaiian flight where the WiFi wasn't working, other than interisland flights on their old planes. Knocking on all the wood for you.

I've got a roundtrip to Japan coming up in two weeks where I am HOPING we don't have a game during my flight, because I don't want to risk it... but it's on Hawaiian so I feel a little more comfort.

Plane wifi always sucks for streaming content, but sometimes they have a "live TV" option that shows major networks on the airline app itself.

I flew to LA last Friday, and I had the Spurs game on while sitting next to a Lakers fan wearing a Doncic jersey. I made sure to angle my screen toward him when Wemby pulled off a sick dunk
