No updates on Harper's finger yet? Last I heard he'd been cleared for practice but not games yet. Hoping he can at least play one or two pre-season games, it's not ideal to have our THREE* main guards sidelined for this period.

One guy that I didn't expect much from has caught my attention a little bit. Waters looks like a very good shooter, and with the open looks he'll likely get from the attention other players will draw, he could fit in real well. Basically, If he can shoot with the kind of accuracy he's shown so far, and also play solid defense, he's got a spot on the team IMO. Too early to say, though, but so far, he's looked better than I expected.

Brian Wright actually cooked this off- season. He had some very underrated moves. Kornet is good for adding another 10 wins. We lost so many games by 5 or less, and we played without a decent backup for more than half a season. Drafting Carter Bryant was a steal. Lindy Waters is an actual sniper with pretty good size. I think he gets solid minutes. Then grabbing Olynek, another sniper, for pennies was brilliant. He is an excellent passer, really good shooter, and he plays a little dirty. Wright addressed our biggest needs. We needed bigs and shooting. He did this without messing up the salary cap!!!

Well I made fun of Devin earlier but I am genuinely supportive and can't imagine the long road to feeling NBA healthy and what it takes from your body to do that. People are getting restless for results and Devin has to understand that it's a business after all. But I like how Vassell is determined to play all 82 and saying so. Whatever. If he fails to fit the team he must go but I still wish him well and feel like he's a good guy whether it's clicking with SA or shipped off / out of the league. Maybe he surprises everyone and pulls it together.

All he needs to do is play off the ball and focus on defense and catch and shoots. If he could do that he‘d be one of the best role players in the league. The big question is: can he do it?
