Game Thread Spurs (62-19) vs Nuggets (53-28) (Sunday 4/12/26) [7:30PM CDT]

from the headband shit to force feeding barnes early hunting that averages record they clearly thought DEN's bench would be a walkover

borderline disrespectful to the opponent tbh and they rightly got punched in the mouth.

gonna be tough watching wemby have to go to war with jokic in a seven-game series knowing it could and should've been him easily destroying "sengun" or "ayton" instead

we pretty much cost Denver a title a few years ago in the regular season finale and they just did the same tonight tbh.

This was the kind of loss that could break you heading into the playoffs. Especially if Harper is hurt.

I’m not gonna put the nail in the coffin that we can’t beat Denver in a series. 3 games we played them without Wemby and the one game we had him, we were in control for basically most of it.

They would be our toughest matchup for sure, but fuck all the defeatist attitudes. It’s not like a lot of you believe in our guys to begin with due to their lack of playoff experience.

mitch is a bum tbh... like why bench kornet and wemby and not just everyone or nobody
He’s still a rookie coach. He’ll be exposed in the playoffs. Besides, the team’s forward depth is awfully thin. Big teams like the Nuggets and Knicks are just the worst kinds of matchups.

Suns are no pushover either tbh. Starting to lean into Suns in 6, especially if Harper is out.

The Spurs had every chance to draft Ware or Kalkbrenner, but chose to dump those picks instead. BW is more likely to double down by drafting another guard to keep pounding that rock and to keep Pop’s midget ball legacy alive.
The huge miss was not taking Raynaud last year. A ton of people were singling him out when he was dropping to the 2nd round. Having him to rotate with Kornet and Barnes against bigger lineups would have been great for the playoffs.

But oh well, it's now set so let it fucking ride and see what they can do in their first playoff run.

Fox bricking 3s, love to see it.

Sure glad we fucked around and force fed Barnes to a stellar 12 pt performance.

Sure glad we get to play Denver/OKC instead of Houston/OKC

I think we can beat Denver and OKC.
I don't think we can beat them in consecutive series and then win the finals.

It was never going to be Sengun or Ayton. It was always going to be Gobert or Jokic in round 2.
