Game Thread Spurs (59-19) vs. 76ers (43-35) (Mon 04/06/2026) [7:00 PM]

Wemby getting hurt aside, this was a nice win. Really looked like we were ready to roll over in the 3rd and they immediately bounced back and stayed focused.

Still can’t believe we won 60 games. Just an incredible season already.
Steph is proving he’s already the 2nd best player on this team. And that’s no slight to Fox despite his recent bad play.

So I was right when I said he got injured first half. That means he got to 15-16 minutes then went out. Meaning they’re planning to go 20-21 min later on (coping)
I had that injury in lacrosse mine were the upper ribs it is hard to breathe I played through it was hard to breathe at times and it it can tighten up from experience I can tell you It sucks arse. The extra day will help a lot and I am sure his treatment from the staff was better than mine since I was just playing club so on my own.

Thanks for the insight. I hope whatever painkillers they give him are injections like toradol I don’t want him getting a collapsed lung like Tyrod Taylor lol.

I hope they play him sooner than the last game then shut him down tbh..reaggravating right before the playoffs would suck

Contusions are just a matter of pain tolerance. They don’t really leave you vulnerable to aggravation. So he’ll be completely pain free in 2-6 weeks but tbh shouldn’t necessarily stop him from playing
This is not entirely correct. Rib contusions are partly about pain tolerance, and many players can play through them, yes. But they are possible to aggravate, and playing will often prolong recovery.

Freaking bittersweet 60 wins and having to wait on Wemby news

Also bittersweet to get 60 wins and get locked firmly out of the #1 seed, like ten years ago in 2016 re: GSW.

I believe Pistons losing tonight means that the Spurs are guaranteed HCA in the Finals though.
