All signs point to him wanting to play in Sacramento.
A shame....
Based on the french question to Wemby...it seems like Wemby would love Raynaud to be on the same team with him. Nonetheless, Wemby is still proud that Raynaud managed to carve out a starting role and take advantage of all the playing time given to him.
French part Journalist: Victor, you know Maxime (Raynaud) better than anyone. You've played together, against each other, but you'd never faced him in the NBA. What do you think of the level he's reached, his progress, and playing against him? Did you offer him any advice on his development, having gone through the same thing as a rookie?
Victor: My first impression is one of immense pride. I think the last time we played against each other was in 2018, it was the French U15 Championship, the final. It's been a while
. Yes, I know him well. I would have loved for us to be on the same team, but when I see his performances, I feel incredibly proud. The main reason is that he's had opportunities, and he's taken them all, so it's an excellent start to his career. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the future holds. I consider it a great opportunity to have him in my conference.
Journalist: Just aside from basketball, what made you get along so well so quickly? What do you like about him?
Victor: Of course, it's a question of mentality. Maxime is extremely bright, one of the brightest people I know. Yes, he's a very good friend of mine.Journalist: I hear he's amazing at chess; he likes to tell everyone he beat you Victor: I think he's a bit better than me, but does he beat me? No, I don't think so. We've only played once, I believe.
