Just some food for thought. Let me get this out of the way first, Castle is my fav player but he is just in a huge slump at this point

. I was in denial for several games and finally came to the realization he’s hurting us at times. I was very encouraged for a few possessions at the start of the game with Fox initiating and the Spurs look better in the first few minutes. Then it went south quickly. I thought Castle had some really good passes as secondary playmaker without turnovers in the beginning. In fact, I thought he was very measured going into the lane and dishing out instead of forcing his way a few times. Hopefully that’s a coaching point going forward.
It’s pretty obvious the Spurs success coincides with their shooting three at a decent clip. We were horrific again there tonight, and the worst of the season at the stripe. The latter point is unacceptable for sure. FT’s cost us a game basically. My wife looked at me as I was yelling WTF for fucking 4 FT’s missed in a row by Victor and KJ. TBH, I’m not hopeful at the deadline of solving the perimeter shooting issue. Although I have thought about going to church and praying (

).
Not even going to talk about Victor…. if he sucks we’re going to suck (no shit Sherlock). And yes, he sucked ass tonight. Corndog was thoroughly outplay as well. I would be surprised if any of the starters were graded over a two.
Wtf was the coaching tap thinking when that second unit brought them back and then totally despairingly keeping them on the bench. Absolutely gave me a headache. A bright spot, CB has given me some hope the last two or three games. Has really brought the energy and played very very well off the bench. He still needs some run in the G league though.
The Spurs have had all kind of injuries and it has mucked up the consistency with the core

. Fox, Harper, Vic and the latest with Devon, It is getting a little tiresome with the injury management minutes. I get it, but it’s certainly put a strain on the rotation. I do think this has caused up-and-down play the last 10 to 15 games.
The Spurs need a good 10-20 game stretch with everyone healthy to gain a knowledge of what we can do, right? I don’t give a crap if OKC wins or loses. Nobody’s catching them. It would be nice to stay in that two or three seed just because it would be such an accomplishment. However, the first round is going to be tough for San Antonio regardless. First playoff in quite a while ,and there’s going to be definitely some inexperience playing a role there. We haven’t matched up well against the Suns nor T-pups and Denver is going to be tough as crap. H-town might be a tossup, but Victor has not had great success to date. Fuck the Lakers. San Antonio has lost games. We all think they should’ve won. The saving grace is there has been some other top teams losing in the west as well. I’m not giving up on San Antonio finishing on a positive on the season, but they definitely need to get their shit together ASAP.
