Game Thread Spurs (31-14) vs Pelicans (11-36) (Sun 1/25/26) [6:00PM CDT]

I'm thinking they should lower that games played minimum to be eligible for awards to 60.

Fears shot that from way too far out... You gotta step into that one

Up 6, Fox gambles for a steal, Wemby chucks an early clock 3 against their terrible defense and we have a mismatch on the other end that we have to foul.
I hate these careless sequences.
The mark of team that hasn't actually embraced the mundane.

Just do what works, who cares if it's repetitive or boring.

Derik Queen is such a nice player. They still shouldn't have traded their pick, but at least it wasn't a complete waste.

Spurs playing lazy, uninspired basketball so far. We always play sloppy basketball and half-assed defense against these dudes. You'd think after 3 straight games of almost losing to them they'd show up locked in.

I wonder what's the excuse for Mitch lovers tonight?
Players shouldn't be absolved of their share of the blame, either.

This is just embarrassing.

229 million should spend less time jawing at the refs and more time practicing free throws tbh

Vic shouldn't always be a decoy when he rolls. Just pass it to the 9-foot dude sprinting hard to the basket for fuck's sake

Joining in bit late, not liking the box score on boys

The good so far: Queen has 3 fouls, Wemby’s looking for his shot a little lower, Dev is back.

The bad: they’re playing with their food again 🙄

Wemby committed to shooting 3s until he makes one

Wemby off from three tonight, needs to start taking it inside

5-11 from FT line tonight is suboptimal
