Game Thread Spurs (23-8) vs Cavs (17-16) (Mon 12/29/25) [7:00 PM CDT]

Just miserable execution and sloppy play all around. Mitch Johnson needs to kick some ass in practice tomorrow.

We’ve out played CLE for 6 of 8 quarters this season, and they’ve completely blown us out in the other two

Again the same shitty drop defense and having on the ball defender play 1v2.

Well, we have taken a pretty damn big step back the last two games. Some soul-searching gentlemen. Which direction are we going to go?

Cleveland couldn't make shit in the 3rd, but can't miss in the 4th. We can't make a shot and keep turning it over.

Why is Barnes, champ, and Devin on the court with this little time left when they haven't done a damn thing all game?

Yeah, they'll make the playoffs but we'll get punked in firsrt round by whoever they meet...

Spurs desperately need a shooting coach worth a shit tbh.
Agreed. Castle badly needs a shot doctor . His platform and extension needs to move upward and the ball come off his finger tips in more upward motion.. Instead many times the ball comes almost like its rolling off lower on his hand especially in the lane. resulting in not enough lift and loft on the ball. Like shooting uphill.

Glaring issues:

Castle and Harper make too many rookie mistakes, thank God we have Fox.

Relying on the “let’s hope one of Vassell, Barnes or Champ is hot” strategy is rearing its ugly head. All 3 of them are streaky as hell.

Spurs desperately need another 3 and D player.

How many wide open 3pt shots did Cavs get this game?
Now compare it to the shots our guys got.

We can't fucking not defend one player every possession and be fine with it.
We could've been up 15 if we didn't dare that Tomlin scrub to shoot in the first half and he made both.

Team needs to go back on the road… home cooking got us fat
