He's not nearly explosive enough to get injured tbh. He's a slow and methodical athlete. He never dunks or has any real bursts to do anything during games. He just casually gets to his spots and either hits a jumper, drives by you and lays it in, or flops/foul-baits the defender into giving him FT's. He's a really unique player tbh. His game should age gracefully.
 
The issue with OKC will be the cap space. Not everyone can get a max contract. Hopefully some of their great role players will move on. That being said, this means little this season.

Yes their great role players might move on but that will be well covered with their neverending upcoming top 5 lottery picks (rookie contracts).

I think we might see SGA, Chet, JWill reaching 7 or 8 rings by end of their career if Wemby's prime is unable to stop them
 
Gotta hand it to Silver. He's mostly been a shit Commissioner, but the NBA Cup is one thing he's gotten right. The Regular Season can be long and droning at 82 games, but The Cup has suddenly made a few of them feel a lot more important. And with so much money on the line, the intensity during these games basically feels like the Playoffs. Even this thread is almost at 10 pages and we're still 23 hours away from tipoff lol. Good shit from Nosferatu and Co. tbh.
 
The different jersey ideas have been cool. I like the change going away from a fresh :24 on a OREB. Some stuff Silver has done works pretty well but he needs to quit infusing gambling so much.

Normally I wouldn't care but since the Spurs haven't played in a game with legit stakes in half a decade I've been more invested tbh. Prolly will go back to not caring next season.

Space and also you get wore down just from winning championships. Playing deep into June etc. They are young, but nobody wins every year. Certainly they are huge favorites to win it again this season. But the Spurs don’t have to win it this season. They need to make the playoffs and hopefully have a nice playoff run. That’s good enough for me.

Yeah, it’s been fun so far. Definitely gives you something to look forward to in the early stages of the NBA season. Normally people don’t start paying attention until after Christmas.

Denver wasn't mistake free and almost beat then.

Pacers weren't mistake free and almost beat them.

OKC is not some boogeyman team they just play way harder than everyone else and care more about regular season victories than everyone else.

Agree to disagree. Obv the Spurs making a run in it is keeping me more interested, but I've also enjoyed watching most of the Cup games thus far. It just feels more intense and they're all on national TV so you know everyone's watching. You can tell these guys want that extra cash the way they're playing. The Spurs games vs HOU, DEN, and LAL have been 3 of their most entertaining games of the season so far and all 3 resulted in W's. Hoping tomorrow's Cup game follows suit.

The Spurs aren’t the favorite, but I think we all can agree that it would be very healthy for the SA to have a chance in the fourth. Wemby will probably play 20 to 22 minutes and hopefully he has a huge impact on defense. This is definitely the most excited I’ve been about a game in several years, even though we all expect the excitement to start in the actual playoffs

Who are you referring to? Edit : I was on the other page, so I didn't see the answer above. If it's Ajay, apparently he played with Victor. That is one guy that is sucks that the Spurs missed out on since he's played with Vic.
