Game Thread Spurs (15-6) @ Cavs (13-10) (Fri 12/5/25) [6:30PM CDT]

Dylan Harper, your mission tonight: Make the bench bigs look good.

Bold Prediction: Harper has a 15/15 (assists) statline tonight.

People automatically calling losses are lame. Yeah it’s gonna be tough without Luke. But this years Spurs are fighters. Should be a good game but if they do lose, oh well.

These injuries fucking suck though. Feel like we are one of the most injury prone teams. It’s amazing we only lost 6 times up till now.
All of those quitter posts are bump material by page 50 of this thread when we end up winning.

Reddit on Sochan: “they keep putting him in tough positions”

Maybe because he fucking sucks at every position they try him at?

Yeah come on man people called most of our last several wins as losses beforehand.

With no rim protection, garland and Mitchell will just drive into the lane at will.

Also, the spurs collapse the paint with rimprotection, without it we will give up more threes than usual. Their two undersized guards will score 40 pts each.

Hope our guards can answer and do the same to them.

And just what position fits him best other than towel waving?

If in the era of postionless BB someone STILL can’t find a role that contributes, nothing much else you can do about that.

Garland is out and has been terrible this season.
Merrill, Nance, Proctor, Strus and Allen are also out.
Mobley is questionable.

Mitchell/Tyson/Wade/Hunter/Mobley
Ball/Porter/Tomlin/Travers/Bryant should be their best 10 guys for tonight's game.
They're kind of completely fucked if Mobley doesn't play and we should be winning the game, tbh.

Every time Sochan plays himself out of the rotation, someone gets hurt and gives him another chance by necessity :st-lol:

With the Spurs' opponent availability luck, Mobley will probably play. But if not, it'll mean that unbelievably all four of the rotational C's on the two rosters will not be available.

Either way, the Cavaliers, as banged up as they are, are due for a win and good stretch and the Spurs are due to get blown out.

Two of their better shooters, Merrill and Strus are out.

This is the Dean Wade showcase game. Hopefully Brian and RC are in the building to get a first hand look at next year's MLE FA target.

Kornet being out hurts. Wemby being out indefinitely is going to take its toll. Hope for the best tonight.
Dang! Wemby out, Duncan out, Robinson out, and now Kornet! Errrrrrybody else better play balls out to just give us a chance!

Thought your post was going to be along the lines of Every time Sochan plays himself out of the rotation a demon gets his horns.

This feels like another game where we got better and the other team got worse. Similar to Orlando and several other recent wins.

Sochan about lost the last game for us. He is struggling horribly. It would be great to see him play a lot of minutes and get his confidence back. Not that I am optimistic at all about that anymore.
I agree, in the last few games you could tell he wasn’t even trying to shoot, for 2 or for 3, he definitely lacks confidence right now.

Every time Sochan plays himself out of the rotation, an angel gets AIDS

Listening to lots of German NBA-related podcasts and by looking at the majority of the questions related to teams its definitely the Lakers and the Mavericks. Magic are catching on of course - all German Magic fans want to have Banchero gone  Spurs are mid-tier I guess. But am I not enough? :D

A second German Spurs fan checking in. :st-flag:
