Game Thread Playoffs Round 1, Game 1: Spurs vs Blazers (0-0) (Sun 04/19/2026) [8:00 CDT]

I just realized we're playing the Blazers and we won't get to hear Sean talk about his shot like a dozen times per game. :(
Haha...I could hear about "his shot" all day long! Seriously I will miss his commentary. Who is on NBC?

sean and jacob have grown on me, with sean's constant reminder of "the shot", both of them stuffing their faces at the start of the 3rd quarter, the homerism, and the occassional guest appearances during which time the game is going on in the background while sean, jacob, and the guest talk about anything but the live action going on.

Jacob has def grown on me as the season has progressed. Was iffy in him in the beginning tbh, but he's improved as an analyst and will likely continue to improve beyond his Rookie year. I still miss Bill Land and his patented "OH MAMA WEMBANYAMA!!!" though tbh.

He's grown by leaps and bounds this season, much like the players on the floor.

He's relatable, human, and he's developed a chemistry with Sean already that makes it sound like they've been working games together for ten years. I think he was trying a little too hard last season to work in lingo, he's cut back on that a lot this year and has a very natural call. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he got called up to the big leagues in the next few seasons, but hopefully he can still do Spurs games in combination like Mark Davis did with ESPN and the Kings.

Good for him. Seems like a genuinely awesome guy.

Stinks not getting Jacob and Sean in the playoffs. Definitely a fan of Jacob's calls.

The Taco Pelenque in my town I would not take the time to go get a free taco. The couple of times I've been there it is the driest , most tasteless food one could imagine.
Sucks, the one on I-35 in Schertz is pretty awesome.
