News Official 2025-2026 Buyout Thread

KLove would be an amazing addition. Any vet with post-season experience would, really. This team's Achilles is obviously their young age and relative lack of experience - any older player who's "walked the walk" would bring valuable perspective (well, the ones who aren't a cancer, at least).

I was hoping for Klay at the deadline for the same reason. Doubt he gets bought out, but also, sad that he'll have his last career years wasted in Dallas.

Honestly, Love’s “defense” is no worse than Olynik, and both his shooting and rebounding are stronger. If he were bought out or waived, I wouldn’t hate it.

I'm starting to really see the fit of Kevin Love with this team. 3pt shooting, rebounding and one of the greatest outlet passers ever would be very useful and cause some matchup adjustments for other teams. Defensively, he'd get hunted on the perimeter, but, that would be the case for any older vet. 11 more days to sort out the waiver wire.

we got a big man who's better than Bam Adebayo!!! :st-shocked:
Idk man, 36 year-old Mason Plumlee is pretty damn washed too tbh. He's always been a low-IQ player but his size and athleticism has kept him afloat in the league. Now that the athleticism's gone he's a dud tbh.

One of those roster cuts for the FIBA squad was Miami Heat big man, Bam Adebayo.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald asked how he received the news of his cut and had this to say about what Popovich said.

“I wasn’t ready. Everybody has their opinions, so I guess it was his opinion I wasn’t ready.”
Ultimately, Popovich decided to keep Brook Lopez from Milwaukee and Mason Plumlee from Denver instead. Popovich didn’t go into further detail, but apparently Adebayo quickly got over it.

He's not low IQ. Is this the new phrase people throw around with no meaning? You don't stay in the league as long as he has without knowing what to do.

Mason Plumlee ? Well at least its only for 10 days. Lets see if he can dish out a few hard fouls on some over confident players.

He couldn’t get on the court for the Hornets but he will for us? At least he has legit size I guess.
