NBA NBA on NBC Thread

Do we have enough people here that watch the nationally televised games to have game threads for them? Or should we just use this thread for NBC games?
Just keep this thread imo, It’s easier.

Also not every game is going to have the same juice like the first game.

I’m looking forward to 48 minutes of what SGA was doing to the Rockets from our trio of Harper, Fox, Castle.

Damn that Houston starting 5 line-up is fun. Think there's plenty of play making if Amen, Sengun, and KD can stay healthy, but if anyone one of those guys goes down for any stretch...trouble. Reed does not look like a PG.
Can't wait to see the Dallas version with Flagg/Klay/PJ/AD/DL.

If this thread is about nba broadcasting in general, I’d like to point out that the Amazon streaming app is utter dogshit. It has to buffer just to pause and unpause. It’s “key plays” thing has all of its timestamps screwed up so you see clips of nothing. Thumbnail previews in the scrubber don’t show up, or only show up at 30 second intervals and not 15. It auto plays the live feed of the game you’re going to watch from the beginning as you navigate the menu.

It was built by complete clowns, man. These are unforced errors. I really miss YouTube TV for league pass.

I know it's a new service, but there is no excuse for not having simple things ironed out. I'd give my opinion why it sucks but then I'd be accused of getting political.

There are too many failures here to be impacted by just a rogue woke product manager or whatever. The design and execution is f’d to the degree that several layers of a dev team are compromised.

Simpler answer is that Amazon has (correctly) identified all of us as captive customers and understand that a better app will not lead to more revenue and a shitty app will not lead to a loss in revenue. So, like you’ve seen with other tech platforms, they’re not going to spend money on something that doesn’t impact the bottom line.

Eventually these things will get ironed out as devs go through their backlogs to pick up non-critical features. But in the meantime it’s a bunch of bullshit.

Like today, I paused the game in the 4th and when I tried to resume, it made the game completely unavailable because it was now over. What? Why would I not be allowed to watch a complete game? Then I saw that they just needed like 15 minutes to convert the video from “live” to “recorded” and had to republish it in the app. What a bunch of amateur garbage.
