Misc MISC Spurs 2025-26 Season Thread

Johnny Moore's number being retired is more of a sentimental reason than an on-court accomplishment. He was a good point guard whose career was cut short by desert fever.

With Harper turning 20, there's an argument to be made that he could take over the age 20 spot as well. Pretty wild (and exciting) that we might have the best 20/21/22 year-old players in the league.

Victor Wembanyama was named Western Conference Player of the Month and Defensive Player of the Month. Dylan Harper was Rookie of the Month. Mitch Johnson was Coach of the Month.

It marks the first time in history a single team has swept Player, Rookie and Coach of the Month in the Western Conference.

Wow...Harper over Kon for Rookie of the Month?

Oh it was Western conference Rookie

Ron Harper just imagining his stint with the Spurs, but we'll take it
What is he on about? Maybe he think he's Dylan Harper or something and playing through him ;), or maybe he means he didn't know who to root for since he played for the Clippers and Dylan's on the Spurs. I can't figure out what he's trying to say.

Spurs have collected three offensive rebounds off missed free throws in recent games -- with the one Harper got from his own miss. And they were all at the end of games.

Yeah, missing those chippies is not good, but getting those boards is insane, much less three of them.

Thanks. I don't have time to watch that now (I started watching it, but it's 19 minutes long, so I'll have to watch it later when I have a bit more time), but is that interview from now, or was it done a while ago and they've only just released it now?

It was a few days ago when the Spurs (the management) were in France.
