Player Harper injury update

Probably more McLaughlin unfortunately
I think JMac minutes are a combination of Fox out plus the dominos effect of so many front-court injuries, forcing Devin down to the 3, Keldon to the 4, etc. If Fox/Korndog/Sochan/Lunch Lady all come back around the same time, I could see the rotation changing pretty significantly (it kind of has to). I'm excited to see Lindy get some minutes as well.

I would hope Castle's starting spot is written in ink at this point. He was the only guy (outside of Harper) who sacked up in last nights game and he has been awesome this season overall.
Under normal circumstances I think it would be... unfortunately Harper going down leaves us with even more JMac minutes if Castle does play backup PG.

I think Mitch likes how Castle sets the tone on defense to start the game. I have a hard time seeing him being benched tbh

Great news all things considered. 2-4 weeks is my guess. Hopefully that's the last injury the rook suffers this season.

Think this is the best case scenario, a strain is a month to recover, a bit less in basketball for some reason

Interesting Shams said multiple week injury but Orsborn mentioned Spurs said "at least this weekend". I wouldn't question the Spurs targeting an early December return for this kind of thing, 4 full weeks just to be sure and if he isn't feeling pain or limited at all get him some spot minutes.

Spurs have much bigger issues to address now with Harper on the mend from a minor injury; namely how to deal with and punish the Wemby double teams that are inevitably going to be employed by most teams after the Suns exposed him.

Best possible news, tbh.

I wonder if this changes whatever plans Mitch might have had for when Fox returns and he moves Castle to the bench instead of Champ or Dev.

New rotation idea:

G: 3-man rotation with Fox, Castle, Devin. Fox 35 min, Castle 31 min, Dev 30 min
SF: Champ - 24, Keldon - 24
PF: Barnes - 22, Sochan - 22, Korndog - 4
C: Wemby - 34, Korndog 18

Flex in some Lunch Lady minutes from time to time.

Mitch having to deal with a minutes crunch is postponed for now.
Steph Castle is a SF. You'd know this if you checked your TPS reports.

Ugh...elsewhere I've read multiple weeks. So sorry about this one, he's been a bright spot so far.

This should also be a wake up call for the people who were seriously proposing trading Fox. This was an especially absurd comment to make before we had even seen Harper play a minute, but even after seeing Harper’s exciting start it’s still stupid.

Injuries happen and having multiple high level creators who can generate offense for themselves and others is never a bad thing. Not trying to end up in a spot where we’re relying on fucking Jordan McLaughlin to play 25+ mpg on a team that has playoff aspirations.

Great news....

But Fox and Korndog need to return soon....Biyombo and JMac taking the main backup C and PG min will be unwatchable

That means he‘ out for 5-6 weeks with how the Spurs are treating injuries
I'd rather have him out for 6 weeks than for this to be a recurring issue.
Sucks, but it's still the best case scenario considering what could've happened.
