Personally I consider The Ringer's Top 100 list to be the best "ranking" list of them all, and they just did their pre-season update.

Wemb #6, Fox#28, Devin #86 but no sign of Steph.

Worth noting that in the last Trade Value rankings (Updated Jan 30), Wemby was #1, Fox #19, Steph #40, Devin #61.

There are some folks on this list who easily could have been Spurs, which chaps my hide, but other than that... We are a Roster with two Top 30 players, the reigning ROTY, another Top 100 player and the #2 overall pick.

Let's cook.

Prediction for the March update by the ringer
Wemby to 5
Fox to 26
Devin to 91
Steph 99

i dont blame them for leaving castle off. last we saw of castle he was promising, but pretty inefficient and the defense wasnt consistently there.

but if they have Caruso at 56, Dort at 68, and Cason Wallace at 92, Castle should be able to find a spot even if he's not handling the ball quite as much as last year. He just needs to shore up his consistency.

i think wemby's ranking is fair, and if he doesnt get himself into the top 5 by their next update, that would be on him

i could see vassell falling off the list based on what weve seen from him for a while now

Nice timing. I was actually going to create a post with multiple Top 100 rankings.

Steph is 91 on the Bleacher Report Top 100
Also 99 on the ESPN Top 100
Finally, 100 on the SI Top 100

I would've preferred if they made a tier list instead of #1-100, but I guess it's for engagement.

Wemby will prove he's better than Edwards.
Fox can easily get to top20, but current ranking is fair because he hasn't done much as of late.
Devin being #86 with no sight of Castle says all we need to know about their Spurs knowledge.

It's crazy how OKC has seven dudes on there.

iirc they do have tiers in their "trade value" rankings

I think that's a post you should still make! And then I can merge this one into that one.

I was about to get mad and say that Stephon is a better player than Devin, but actually, that's great Devin is listed higher. Hopefully other teams are looking closely at these lists.

Vassell is massively underrated. Someone should make a trade offer for him immediately.

if Devin and castle never progressed anymore beyond what we saw in April, most GM’s would take Devin.

FWIW.

Does anyone outside of this organization rate Devin Vassell? I still hear people mispronounce his last name all the time and he's been in the league for five years. Does he do anything special? The guy just exists. I guess he's good enough to be a top 100 player.

People don't really watch the Spurs and Devin's averages look good. 18/4/3.5 on 45/37/79 over the past 3 seasons looks great on paper.
Was projected to be a good defender when we drafted him, for some reason most NBA fans still think he's a solid defender.
On paper his contract looks like good value, but we know it's nowhere near what's actually going on.

People here are massively sleeping on my boy DV. Find me a better player who didn’t let the weight of expectations of being a good defender bog them down. You won’t. DV bucks trends and sets his own expectations. Still not buying it? Who else would you expect to call their own shot when you have a generational talent and more skilled players surrounding you? I mean, he could take the easy way out, play a defined offensive role and increase his attention on defense. But, as you’d expect, DV is too alpha for that.

If my movie has a cast filled with Daniel Day Lewis types, I definitely want Ray Romano taking lead.

Nesmith. 10 shots, 12-15 points. That’s what Devin is supposed to be, but that’s not going to happen.

that changed quickly after he humiliated the guy Luka was traded for...
