I'll always remember Trae for his defensive prowess in ATL

His value probably hasn't been that high these last few years. But it's still impressive that the Hawks managed to trade him when his value was at the absolute lowest of his career tbh :st-lol:

I hope the Wizards get a top 3 pick in this years draft to go along with Sarr. They would be interesting long term playing in the east. Plus Washington has some future first round pick swaps and bunch of second rounds swaps. With a little luck they could be relevant in three years.

I like when he said his preferred destination was Washington as if there was any other team that wanted to trade for him.

Boozer/AJ would fit perfectly in Washington tbh.

If they end up lucking into Peterson, I could see Trae being moved again next year :st-lol:

Tbh, I want the Pacers to win the lottery and run the East with Haliburton/Dybantsa/Siakam trio.

even setting aside whether they will do anything with AD...

McCollum is simply a better shooter than Trae, and he has loads of experience playing on or off ball, which is what the Hawks need from the position with Jalen Johnson and NAW handling more ballhandling duties.

And Kispert gives them some Risacher insurance as a legit shooting SF who can give you good rotation minutes

i didnt realize that about CJ, but i dont think hawks would have wanted to move kispert anyway. they need shooting from the forward spot since risacher hasnt proven to be reliable just yet

but whether it was CJ or KP, expiring salary is expiring salary. KP back to Dallas is kinda funny though

Thats interesting. They'd have to package Porzingis + Kennard + Risacher to make that work. I guess Kispert was the Risacher replacement.

I know I'm dreaming, but I'd love to pry Risacher out of that trade AND get KP from a buyout if he doesn't want to be in Dallas...
Doesn't have to be Risacher. Matter fact the most recent reports I've seen say they're unlikely to include Risacher.

Porzingis + Kennard + Newell (or 1 of Dante/Houstan instead of Newell works) + draft capital. That seems like the more likely deal imo. I'd be surprised if they gave up on Risacher already, especially the way he's looked the last couple games.

Maybe this isn't all that surprising considering how much players move around these days, but with the Trae trade, JJJ and Miles Bridges are the only guys from the 2018 draft still with their original teams

Technically that's correct if Dallas is willing to waive enough players to create the needed roster spots.
