Yeah, it's crazy to say the Spurs have 0% chances of making a trade given both their massive success, and also the recent highlight of the team's deficiencies. I have zero doubt that San Antonio phones will be active closer to the deadline.I completely disagree. There's a reason Brian Wright traded for Olynyk and it's not his on court play. It's his 13.5 million dollar expiring contract. That salary paired with Sochan is enough to make a significant move.
I don't think the Spurs will break up our 9 rotation guys, nor should they. But aside from those 9 and Carter Bryant, some of the other 5 players will get moved for somebody. It might just be a bench guy like Dean Wade, but I'm 99% sure we will make a trade to add on to what we have.
Whether there's a trade target that makes sense for us is another topic, but I'd argue this is one of the recent seasons where a trade has been MOST likely for us, tbh. The FO is clearly aware of the timeline and they traded for Fox last season, so there's precedent too.
