having somebody like Yaxel Lendeborg who‘s 23 on a cost controlled 4-year rookie contract gon be gold once our cap gets tightThe spurs can now draft now more towards fit and need with our backcourt mostly solidified. I wouldn't be surprised if they go with an older player if they draft late lottery to 19.
Dude is averaging almost 10 pts, 5 rebs, 35% 3pt and almost a block a game for 42nd pick. Spurs could used thatYou do understand there is a level between starter, and third string, right? Third string almost never plays. It’s not a good roster spot for development.
That’s fine because only Jim has the connection with Joe. Once Don gets greedy and goes directly to Joe, Don could risks breaking the relationship and now everybody has none.It is one of those weird things where SA got a good deal for DJM, and maybe it would have been highway robbery if not for the fact that ATL had another sucker waiting in the wings that they could repeatedly exploit.
Imagine a con man (Don, we’ll call him) who figures out he can sell Fake Rolex’s he can get for $10 to this one guy (Jim, let’s call him) for $200 each…
One day, it becomes clear to Don that Jim is quite aware these watches are fake, so Don asks him about it. “Hey Jim… if you know these are fake… why do you keep buying them from me?”
Jim, with a smile on his face, look at Don as says “These are great, I can sell them to Joe for $4000 each!”
He’s not playing over Wemby or Kornet when healthy. Third string is a shit place to develop from.Dude is averaging almost 10 pts, 5 rebs, 35% 3pt and almost a block a game for 42nd pick. Spurs could used that
I understand that, though there were also misses throughout the years from those picks. I also know that they were trying to swing for upside with the picks we had before Wemby. Now, that we have our foundational pieces, we can draft more towards fit or someone having a higher floor trying than going for a higher ceiling.its much easier to get it right picking at 1, 4, and 2 than 19, 11, 12, 9, or in the 20s

Would love that...But some scouts have him going in the lottery in the top 15.Doubt we draft in that range.Trying to find other playershaving somebody like Yaxel Lendeborg who‘s 23 on a cost controlled 4-year rookie contract gon be gold once our cap gets tight
Pretty impressive collection:We’ve never missed on picks 1-4.

Wonder if Wemby plays tomorrowGlad ATL is also on a B2B tomorrow
Mitch’s comments about managing Wemby’s minutes tonight because we have a game tomorrow would suggest he willWonder if Wemby plays tomorrow
