Geez. The Heat are absolutely atrocious, losing to the fricking Pacers. Looks like they were too content on that 82 points by Bam. The Hawks are looking pretty solid at the 6th spot unless the Sixers can finish strong and they have a pretty tough schedule.

sucksers are fully healthy though, i think they can make a run

Pick should be between #17 and #20. There is a remote chance Hawks fail play-in games and the pick end up at #14.

A team that is surprisingly bad this year is Orlando. They were promising last season and made a big win now trade with Bane for a quite catastrophic result.

Seems par for course for a dismal NBA team year on year. No team has been as mediocre as the Magic but for the Kangs and Hornets in the near past and at least Charlotte seems to have a new mojo going now.

aside from the obvious Celtics @ Hawks...

Sixers @ Miami (better to just ensure somebody passes ATL instead of the off chance of both miami and philly doing so)
Suns @ Grizzlies

People saying Jaylen Br😂wn over Nephew for All NBA first team.

At this point, it's extremely difficult they won't be a top 6 team in the East, I think it's a battle between Toronto, Atlanta and Phoenix for picks 18-20.

Might come down to that Sixers/Spurs game tbh.

It stands to sense that the Hawks are a top 5/6 team in the East after all their maneuvers. Sucks as a Spurs fan to miss out on the lottery but it is also good for the parity in the league that the Spurs and OKC don't get a stab in the lottery this time. As things stand, the two juggernauts will pick thrice between 15 and 19.

A look at the Tankathon standings also show the tanking race is working like a charm for all teams except the stupid Pelicans who gave up their lottery pick to the Hawks. Every one else is retaining thier lottery pick and I expect that to stay that way by the end of the season.

I would happily tank that game if it really does come down to that and it becomes clear we won’t catch OKC.
Same tbh. If the Spurs lose one of their next three or OKC goes undefeated in theirs I'd only play the main rotation for a half.

Krivas looks like a ready-made, budget-friendly Hartenstein replacement as their payroll spirals out of control. OKC should pick him up.

They also have Sorber coming back from injury next year.

Sorber is a project coming off two major injuries for a big man (foot and then ACL surgery), not someone a contender can rely on to anchor their defense.

Our roster is stacked and our needs are few.
Even PF has been a strength since Champ took over that spot, with CB being the future.
This roster doesn't have room to develop a 20th+ pick long term prospect.
The farther this pick falls down the board the less likely we are to keep it.
We'll probably have a trade for a future pick swap lined up on draft night and we'll exercise that unless someone we really like falls to us.

Suns @ Magic... at this point i think the magic are falling apart, whereas Phoenix is tied with ATL in the loss column
Hornets @ Nets
Raptors @ Pistons
Blazers @ Clippers... Clippers winning is better for the Hawks pick, though Blazers winning would put portland one game behind LAC for the top half of the play-in bracket, and thats a potentially easier first round matchup than LAC or PHX

True, but he has real potential.

it's gonna be weird to watch a lottery where i'm not surrounded by candles, talismans and various sorts of charms from all over the world.
