**2025 Baseline Bums NFL Season Thread**

But when do you start asking yourself if the culture there breeds the kind of indifference Parsons have while he was there? What happens if he continues to make a huge impact in Green Bay and they make a long playoff run and maybe even go to the Super bowl? Then it's time to reevaluate what is actually wrong
he'll fizzle out like he has every year of his career so far. cowboys win the trade by virtue of the packers not being serious super bowl contenders.

Philadelphia looks like a favorite again but it's always hard to call. I think the Chiefs are on the down slide and we all know the Ravens are going to flame out the playoffs lol
Ravens always manage to beat themselves whether it be a costly turnover at literally the worst time or Harbs for whatever reason being stuck on stupid. It’s the same script. I think it’s going to have to be Lamar having a 400+ 5 TD game in the playoffs for him to finally take that final step to get to the SB. So far Bills looking like the team to beat in the AFC since we managed to screw it up in the first game

Yup, I live in MD.
Pretty much all local talent agrees that one of the biggest thing holding this team back is Harbaugh's tendency to overthink and psych himself out in big games/moments.
Like how the fuck do you not got for the 4th & short when you've got Lamar, Henry and Zay who've been abusing the Bills D all game long. Give the opportunity to win it to your own studs instead of giving it to Josh Allen.
This recent pattern where Harbaugh inexplicably decides to abandon what's been working in big moments drives the locals crazy. Understandable, tbh.
But yeah, everyone knows that Harbaugh is here to stay unless the Ravens have a losing season that's followed by a poor start the following season.
You remember the game playoff game 2 years ago when Harbs literally abandoned the run the entire 2nd half while only being down less that a TD. Sometimes I wonder if Harbs is in on the take or something. That game against KC made literally no sense that game plan

Am I the only person that thought trading Parsons was a good move lol. Dude was super immature and didn’t do shit in the playoffs. He isn’t worth $47 million a year and once you stupidly signed Dak to $60 million a year you couldn’t pay Parsons.

In a perfect world you don’t pay Dak at all that type of money, you sign him and CeeDee early and save money that way the same way the Eagles did and sign Parsons early as well. Waiting is about the dumbest thing you can do. Buuuuut once you did wait then trading Parsons made all the sense in the world
Jerrah Jones did make football sense with his reasons given for the trade. 1st off agree with you 100 he waited far too long.
With that:

Jones had the reciepts on how many sacks Parsons had in PLAYOFF games the past 3 years. Combined with how many rushing yards the Bois had given up in the last 3 losses. Huge yardage. Jones wasn't so much bagging on or blaming Parsons for the huge rushing yards, rather saying opponents were running away from Parsons and his fellow D teammates, particularly the linemen were not stepping up.
Therefore he thinks Kenny Clark will address a lot of the run D and is also hanging his hat on the 26 and 27 1st round picks. Remains to be seen whom they draft. It may not be an entirely retarded trade should those picks end up being solid.

Summary: I still think Jerrah is a mega football GM retard and am not saying the trade was solid. But it could end up well. Like, perhaps they were going to chump out again in the 25 playoffs with Parsons, so might as well build without.

The little guy fumbling the ball as he dove into the endzone for the turnover. Failure to secure, he let Chief db tap it out. I honestly believe the 4th qtr home field advantage crowd goes beyond nutts and the Ravens complete the comeback W if #4 merely hangs onto the ball.

Expectation for this years playoffs. I fully expect more complete retardaton by Harbaugh. Lemar has had his own turnover problems (see Patty Mahomes turnovers in playoffs) but he always overcomes that by making the clutch plays. Could we get a receiver to make the basic catch with the playoff game on the line?
Will no longer get my Bowl hopes up no matter how good the Raves are looking up to and until the AFC Championship game is completed.

I’m liking Hopkins so far this season. He’s looking rejuvenated and if he continues to play like this then we will now have two constantly reliable receivers for Lamar. Idk about Andrew’s at this point. Idk if he’s not getting the targets because of the all the receivers finally starting to play consistently, or can he not get open anymore. I was hoping that he’d come out on fire after that ending last year but so far it’s looking like the opposite is happening. And as far as Harbs goes I do like him as the coach because he’s seemed to always have the respect of the team dating back to Ray Lewis. But his questionable in game strategies and decisions make me wonder sometimes what the heck is he thinking being a NFL veteran head coach. I’d expect some of that from a starting head coach but not from Harbaugh

Packers :ROFLMAO:

Defense still looks legit, but Love doing Love things when things get tight.

Bears converting Javonte's run-punt into points is nice to see.

Can we talk about Odunze? Mf got 4 tuddies this year already.

And people have them going deep in the playoffs. Micah went from one B qb to another one. Packers won 2 SBs combined with prime Favre and Rodgers. And I’m supposed to think they’re the favorites to win when Love is the QB?

This Bears D is so damn bad. Lets see if the offense can keep us in the game.

Sad that the eagles won with their bullshit luck, but was immensely happy watching the cuckboys get dicked by LGBTQB1 Williams.

What cracks me up about Dallas is they saved a bunch of money by trading Micah, only to turn around and extend a bunch of scrubs. It would be like trading Wemby to avoid his supermax so that we could give huge extensions to VassKelChan

All of the coping takes by Dallas fans are hilarious. They talk about him not doing well in the playoffs like they were contenders every year and he was the only reason they weren't able to succeed lol. He is just now hitting his prime and he has been one of the best defenders in the league. I guess an Elite pass rusher would not have helped you today?

lmao

you’re right, drop him in coverage. His 0.25 sack/game playoff average is 44m/yr tier, was especially helpful against the packers in 2023.

saw he had a 2 tackle game today, rounding into late season/playoff form early, love to see it!

Hard to see the 49ers not making the playoffs even with all these shitty injuries. A healthy team wins the NFC tbh
