Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

I still personally feel like Wemby is actually targeting Memphis on Tuesday and that he stayed home for the road trip as a compromise with the medical team in order to push hard on his rehab at the home facilities.

The injury report tomorrow should be informative. I’m thinking Wemby (and Castle) will at least be upgraded to day to day but might not play.

It was Harper that had a boot on after his injury.
You’re right, Wemby never wore a boot and was on the bench for the next game against the Kings. However, he did sport some unusual shoes during the Memphis game. They weren’t medical, just fashion.

Just came here to post that tweet. Big news that we now have 5v5 confirmation for Wemby. Means he should be back (assuming no setbacks) sometime within next 3 games.

Jeff mccuckold says Wemby might not play against “those monsters” from OKC on Saturday. Classic

if the offense flows like it does now, he’s a 25 12 and 5 with 4 blocks. Smells like winning. But that’s the thing I mentioned in the “what happens to the offense” thread…there’s likely a forfeiture of some of the career accolades if he plays in this kind of system as opposed to doing the Denver way. I’ve seen enough of the cram-it-thru-Vic offense to think that the team is better off forcing things through him. So I think it’s better this way unless he’s actually going to become the Dallas captain insane-o guy full time. Which seems unlikely.

I like the confidence. Great players know they’re the best. There’s nothing wrong about that, but now as somebody mentioned, it’s time to back it up.

I sincerely hope that the offense stays the same, and Wemby is inserted as the best defensive player of the league, as opportunistic scorer capitalizing from the activities of our guards. The offense needs to stay fast, slashes, attack the basket, and pick and rolls. This team could be much much improved. Pop always envisioned that 3-guard offense, now add the most dominant defensive player to that.

Fox as a clutch player is critical. He brings toughness especially during those times they needed a basket. Plus he gets those ticky-tack fouls that normally reserved to Curry, SGA, Doncic, Harden - yes the same foul baits I hate, just not as bad when it’s Fox receiving them. It’s funny the other night, when Austin Reaves couldn’t buy a foul. I kept saying to myself, “too bad you’re not Fox” :ROFLMAO:

Victor was wearing an 'Air Afrique' shirt on the bench during the LAL game. Wondered about the significance, then saw this story in the NY Times Magazine about an MOMA exhibition coming up of Parisian art collective based on the cultural history and significance of Air Afrique. Collective has some sponsorship from Louis Vuitton.

This is the interview which he talked about Joker is not the best player and it will be him :st-toast:
he mentioned Giannis and SGA too
When he comes back, "it will be me"
That's not putting a target on your back, that's grabbing the barrel and pressing it to your forehead.
Show us now, young man.

Nike, also, apparently (jersey had the logo).

Are they counting each individual bounce of the ball?
Yeah, that's called dribbling.

Wemby's issue isn't that he dribbles the ball, it's that possessions become exponentially more inefficent with each dribble.
A couple of dribbles is fine, but those iso possessions shouldn't be a thing unless he's taking over and can't miss.

Exactly. If he wants to play like KD, fine, but then he needs to reach the same level of ball handling and jumpshot percentage
