Fuck. If he's more or less fine they'll probably rest him for the next 2 games as a precaution, just to play the last game for at least 20 minutes. But that in itself is kinda risky if he aggravates it. He'd have to crawl, limp, stumble his way to the 20th minute if that's the case.

If he’s OK I don’t expect to see him back before the final game of the season. Just rest up the rest of this week.

Well, now we anxiously await news. I’m cautiously optimistic - I don’t think he would’ve been able to go back into the game if it was a fracture or something more serious. Also good to see that it was his ribs and not something shoulder-related.

I’m guessing he plays limited (<25 minutes) in either the Dallas or Denver game and then it’s playoff time.
This is why I was against him sitting last Thursday night against the Clippers. If he had played that game, tonight would have been his 65th game.

Or he could have been injured there. It was an ok choice with a Clippers win being an ok outcome as it would have lessened OKCs pick chances.

So Paulina Georgina does 30 pounds of meth and 100 pounds of roids, 57 low tier podcast episodes, just to come back and injure wemby and then get ankle locked in his sleep by Kelly Olynik? Insane.

He came back in and played. Mitch said that was a good sign. If this was a playoff game he'd 100% have stayed out there but why push it. He'll be fine. EVERYONE is playing with all kinds of bumps and bruises at this time of year. I'm not even pressed as long as there's no ligament/bone/joint injuries. This was some kind of a bruise/contusion.

This is the downside of playing it too safe with Wemby's load: Freak injuries happen. I don't know how he exactly felt pre- Denver & Clippers games he missed, but when you know it will be close shave for 65-game requirement, players don't usually skip those types of games even when not at 100 percent. It would be a crying shame if lose out on DPOY in extremis because of this miscalculation.

I used to say I didnt agree with sitting out actual healthy games because what if he actually got injured for real later on…

That Denver game was so weird. A late scratch out of nowhere and he went along with it. The Clippers one was scheduled rest i understands (quick turnaround for Denver, Second night of B2B and 3 games in 4 night).

I feel jealous watching Jokic playing 40-42 minutes like it's nothing (another OT tonight) and it also has me worried about Wemby's ability to match him in load in the potential second round series without fizzling out late in games..

It won’t be any better in game 82 than game 80. It’s pain tolerance.

Just get that 20 minutes over with.

If it's mild, Bruised ribs are more of a pain tolerance with doing movements especially first week. It's playable after week 1. just not comfortable until week 2 or 3 at least .

I'm not doing any work today until I get a report on Wemby

While it's great to be a contender again this is the downside.. Injuries that put you on suicide watch..
