Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

Selfishly I'm glad he's missing tonight's game...I'm going to the SA/Denver game on Saturday and have been worried that they were going to sit him with it being the 3rd game in 4 nights. Think this pretty much guarantees he'll be playing in that game which is awesome :st-lol:

If he is gonna rest a game I am glad it is the one at Intuit, fuck Ballmer and his tampering ass.

Rest him vs Clippers and Philly, if we're going to give anyone a chance, better those games.

Uh, you grab the easier game, you OKC dumb fuck.
Ya lol… Im sure the spurs would like first seed but not at the expense of over working Vic before the POs, so who gives a shit. It’s not in our control, get the easier game and let the rest of the team prove their worth against a tougher opponent to hone the non Wemby mins.

The playoffs are literally right around the corner. So basically let’s just get their healthy. Looks like if we make it to the NBA finals there will be no issue having the better record which means Home court.

As we say in an MMA forum - WAR VIC!!!
What does it mean in that context? Warrior?
Which is the MMA forum by the way? I'm a casual fan, have only been watching for 6 years or so on and off. I wouldn't mind checking it out.
We have never had a player that the media loves like this. Wemby is the face of the league. That's wild to say considering we have a whole ass starting lineup of hall of famers but they LOVE Wemby. I thought they might try to throw his MVP answer in his face but NOPE, they LOVE it. Surreal to see.
It feels weird. I was watching ESPN earlier today and he's getting quite a bit or praise and I'm thinking, man, these guys are laying it on a bit thick. Then I remember he's on our team and laughed. I was thinking, OK, I'll let it go ;). It feels strange having Spurs played talked about this much and it seems like the media really does like these guys (not just Vic, at the very least, Steph too).

Since I'm not used to it, I still wonder if they're just praising them because they think they'll be the next big thing, or just because the other teams they want to push aren't doing as well as they'd like. Either way, I've never really cared too much about what ESPN or the media in general said (I knew the old Spurs teams were great regardless of what they said or thought). The only thing I'm looking at now is if it helps the Spurs get more exposure with the casual fans and maybe fairer treatment with the refs, then I'm on board with it.

Wemby keeps getting fouled going to the rim,And the refs aint calling it.Its kind of annoyng that refs keep missing those
obvious fouls against wemby.
Yeah, I agree as I'm seeing fouls that are being let go for some reason. If they're going to call the shit Shai gets, then in the playoffs, I want to see Victor get all these calls too that they've been letting go.

I had heard rumor before about this story, but never actually had seen the details or the source so hearing that it was actually Windhorst that witnessed it and hearing it told straight from him was pretty cool.
I heard Brian Windhorst tell it before somewhere else, but I really wonder if Chet was actually having at shot at him/rubbing it in? If he was, I can see why Vic was upset.

Sounds like tonight’s scratch could be a combo of Spurs caution and potential 1st round matchup strategy. I get it and condone it.
