Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

Wow first manned space flight out of low earth orbit in over 50 years. And I just found out because of a comment on BB.

I still think Spurs have to catch the Thunder for him to get MVP, but there's definitely a chance now that what he's doing will put him over the line. Dude barely broke a sweat tonight. Clearly saving energy for tomorrow night and he damn near had 40-20

We have never had a player that the media loves like this. Wemby is the face of the league. That's wild to say considering we have a whole ass starting lineup of hall of famers but they LOVE Wemby. I thought they might try to throw his MVP answer in his face but NOPE, they LOVE it. Surreal to see.

Wanted to mention, was listening to a recent Ryen Russillo podcast and he had Brian Windhorst on for a bit (can't find it on youtube, but it is on the big platforms for podcasts, was released like 5 days ago). Windy talked about the the Wemby/Chet beef and he had a specific story regarding when it seemed to escalate (that Windhorst actually witnessed first hand).

Wemby and Chet went at each other quite a bit in their first preseason game in OKC a couple years ago, this being their first time playing in the NBA and also after their contentious match in the FIBA under 19 tourney the year prior. The FIBA loss was devastating for Victor though he did play fine individually. After the preseason game, Windhorst went to chat with Vic in the back hallway and Victor was with his mom Elodie and his agent.

During the conversation, Chet happened to come passing by and had a quick exchange with Vic and Vic introduced Chet to his mom. According to Windhorst, Chet mentioned to Elodie that he actually played against Victor in the FIBA tournament a year prior and Elodie responded "yes, I remember". Windhorst described the manner/tone of Chet when mentioning that to Vic's mom as taking a jab by bringing up a sore spot for Vic (especially knowing how competitive Vic is, of course that loss stuck with him).

I had heard rumor before about this story, but never actually had seen the details or the source so hearing that it was actually Windhorst that witnessed it and hearing it told straight from him was pretty cool.

Now that is one spicy tidbit to the whole thing. Pretty much sums up why Vic's really made it personal against Holmgren. Will only help the team as he's pretty much negated him out of the equation nearly every time they play.

Gracias for sharing.

This fucking scrub, always piggybacking on someone’s coattails to win something.
