Meaning at least 90% percentile on offense and defense
 
Forget the maddening inconsistent play in Year3? What happened to this guy BBIQ? Wemby's gotten progressively worse from his rookie season at read and react situations..

Can't really use his rookie season. He didn't really get any defenses geared towards him. I doubt anyone really game planned against him.

Agreed. Luka maybe a defensive sieve, but he is more consistent than Wemby and has a playoffs track record.. Can't put Victor above him for now. And Wemby's inconsistency and low BBIQ has seeped into his defensive play this year if people didn't notice and it's the reason other than missed games that Chet might steal DPOY.
 
Wemby might play great again tomorrow and people will praise him again like he’s the future goat lmao

He was always a superior offensive player, it just that Wemby defense is starting to waxe and wane too (see his rebounding efforts/numbers fluctuations, dumb fouls etc..)
 
Wemby can drop 30/15/5 vs the Magic for all i care. Come back to me when he wins his next 'Player of the Month' award.

Not falling again for these 'tease games' that have become a trademark of his Year 3 player iteration.
 
He needs to treat every game like they're facing chet

Like make him think every opponent he comes across is chet Holmgren or some shit
 
I'm watching rookie Cooper Flagg against the Rockets and offense is coming more seamlessly for him now than Year 3 Wemby. You just hate to see it.

Flagg has been playing like that his entire life, from AAU to high school. His game is nothing new. Wemby is in the process of transitioning into a different playing style than what he played overseas. That's back to the basket or reading the game from double and/or triple teams from the elbows, etc. They allowed him to play free his first 2 years. This season you can see they're trying to tame him a little and put him in places they think works best for him and then allow him to figure it out from there. That's going to take time and won't happen overnight.
