Player The unfortunately low-ceilinged Shaolin monastery of Victor Wembanyama

When will this bullshit minutes leash end? It is getting beyond parody. It is been nearly a month since Wemby has been back from a mild calf strain..WTF? Are the medical staff-- afraid about their reputation and careers in case something bad happen to the franchise and the league's crown jewel-- taking it to the extremist lengths of precaution?

If this is the modus operandi going forward, it is pretty safe to say Wemby will hardly compete for any regular season accolades/awards and i think we will see him miss (or lose) multiple playoffs games on precautionary measures
I want also to end but Wemby looked gassed in the game, which I don't understand with all the rest he got.

It is not that hard to understand. The only way to build stamina and not be gassed is to play a certain amount of minutes consistently. If you are used to play 20 minutes, you are going to be gassed if you play 25; if you are used to play 30, you are going to be gassed at 35; and so on.

The minutes restriction thing is really getting old. At some point they gotta start playing Wemby big minutes. You can't get him used to playing 28 minutes during the regular season and suddenly expect him to play 35 in the playoffs. That's not how bodies work.

I hope that he is getting all the cardio he needs during practice to improve his stamina and not relying on games to build it.

Exactly. Said it above, this is gone beyond any sports science argument to folks upstairs getting scared of being blamed for potential aggravation from whatever mild or minor bodily tweak Wemby suffers. How is he supposed to keep up with the big guns when the likes of Jokic are logging 40-42 mins in close playoffs games (that goes up to 44-48 mins in OT or elimination games)?

The biggest travesty will be when 41-yo Lebron or 37 yo KD are averaging 3-5 minutes more than 22-year Wemby for the series when we meet there..

Guys in the team has consistently said Vic and Barnes are the two most usually found hitting the bikes and just doing cardio stuff.
Like our fellow Bums have said, it's really just his body not being accustomed to the minutes because of the ridiculous Because Minutes regime.

The minutes restriction effect explained: A flap of Victor's eye in a game can cause a “let's not hurry” reaction on the other side of the medical team's office.

Without transition, Victor has now successfully completed the “Wemby Block Challenge” by blocking 50 All-Stars.

The list of 19 All-Stars who managed to slip through the Vic's net: Kristaps Porziņģis, Jayson Tatum, LaMelo Ball, Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, D’Angelo Russell, Al Horford, Fred VanVleet, Kawhi Leonard, Ben Simmons, Bradley Beal, Chris Paul, Tyler Herro, Jalen Williams, Paolo Banchero, Jrue Holiday, Zach LaVine, Kevin Love, Khris Middleton.

Should I continue the challenge? 100 All-Stars blocked? It will inevitably take longer with only 19 All-Stars available and a meager new crop of new faces being designated each February.

Wemby hasn't played over 30 minutes in a basketball game for two months. All that summer work done on conditioning and stamina has clearly been rolled back by this minutes restriction regimen. It is one thing to do it for a week after an injury, but for it to last nearly a month will set you back fitness-wise.

You should keep it up. That is a very interesting stat.
