Player The Uncertainty Realm of the Improved Jumpshot of Jeremy Sochan

Knicks badly needed a dog. Maybe he can give them a little edge.

Like this for sochan, will have to cheer against him if we face Knicks in the finals.

A ton of potential for Ronnie Fieg/Kith collabs, he’s already creative director for Knicks (or some equivalent title) and designed their city edition jersey. Sochan and his aesthetic match
Yeah, he'll be like every ex Spur and probably light us up for 30 this first time we face them.

So Knicks it is. He could fit as well as Mitchell fits.

Hmmm you know what I wouldn’t be surprised if spurs released him under the condition he doesn’t go to a west rival. It would be ver spursian.

Good potential fit for the Knicks. I'll say Hi if I see him around.

Same I never understood why many here are so hung up on this detail as if it were a career altering event on the scale of a catastrophic injury befalling him early on :st-lol: . Some are expressing astonishment that he was the first one to go before Vassell and Keldon; here is the simple reason why: Vassell and Johnson have actual basketball skills (like shooting and dribbling the ball) and he doesn't. And i don't know if you see it the same way: beneath the bravados and fake tough acts, Sochan appears to be a mentally fragile guy who has found it hard to cope with the vagaries of NBA life. He hasn't responded well to the challenge of proving himself when the time has come (new contract) as he watched his teammates and the organization pass him by. I am extremely skeptical about his future prospects as NBA player, but we'll see

Completely agree. The bottom line is, he's either going to learn to complement better players or he's not going to stick in the league because he's not good enough to be prioritized otherwise.

Between what you said and the broken shot, I'm skeptical in generally and specifically in a cauldron like New York, who are under pressure to make the Finals.

10 teams wanted Sochan and we couldn't find any good usage for him?? Just gave the guy away for nothing? Smh

Just going to go ahead and feel preemptively bad for him when he realizes that he isn't cracking the Knicks rotation either tbh.

mitch says only tru bigs at C and shooters elsewhere. sometimes it really is bad fit

Best of luck.
Hope the change of scenery helps him.
I always liked him, but as it stands he's limited

I've never understood the fascination So-Fans have with him. But at least now he can go be undersized, erratic with the ball and be too slow for perimeter D on the Knicks. I liked him at one point. Liked his chutzpah. But after seeing him get clobbered in the paint coincidentally against the Knicks last season, I thought he won't be sustainable as a "big".

Also it wasn't a bad take to have wanted Sochan back then. It was a completely reasonable pick and it didn't work out. That's just the reality of NBA draft picks, you can make a well reasoned selection that simply doens't work because there's a shit ton of variance.

Boy, that 2022 draft really sucked for the spurs. Was it a bad for other teams or did the spurs front office have a brain fart on draft night?
