Player The Uncertainty Realm of the Improved Jumpshot of Jeremy Sochan

Kon is great but he seems more like an off-ball knockdown shooter, where DH is an on-ball guy who can generate his own bucket. For example 59% of Kon's 2pt FGs are assisted compared to 34% for DH. They're hard to pit against one another because they seem like much different archetypes.

I think sochan can defend wemby well.

Feel bad for him. Hard to deal with that kind of rejection at such a young age. If we released him, I am guessing we couldn't get anyone to trade with? For at least a bag of chips?

Now he has to leave when the team is really taking off. Sucks. Hope he finds a good fit and can still have a solid career.
Can't feel too bad for a 22 year old millionaire.

No offense to Jeremy but re: Kon vs Harper. Kon seems like an off ball player which makes it hard to reach the highest level. Harper is already great with the ball in his hands. On ball players, especially in a league that devalues post play, will always be more important, or at least valued.

However, it is a team game so the team could be better with Kon instead of Harper this year but I still would rather have Harper the upcoming years.

Of our 3 point guards, the one who isn't a Wright archetype is Fox. I see Harper being very important. Shit, the fact that Castle gets so much time on ball instead of Fox makes we wonder if they are content prioritizing Castle already.

Back to Jeremy...

Had the Spurs drafted Kon and Charlotte Harper, Harper would have the better stats. Charlotte is giving Kon a lot more minutes and a bigger role than Harper is getting in SA.

You don’t have to compare Kon to Harper to bag on rascal. That was never an argument he was making when he posted about Kon 1,000 times last year. He posted about how bad he would be. He’s nowhere near as bad as he projected. Him mentioning Dylan now is straight up deflection. He should be clowned for how persistent and loud he was about how bad Kon would be in the NBA. @benefactor
I was wrong on calling Kon just a bench player but I've been right on more players than many in here. Many in here had Sheppard over Castle and Sochan better than Sharpe.

The real comparison was between Sochan and Jalen Duren -- we whiffed.

Shochan is what Spurstalk(most in here) wanted with that 9th pick.

Remember when Stanley Johnson wanted a buy-out to pursue opportunities to latch on with a play-off team, only to never to be seen in the NBA again?

💯 No need for revisionist history.

In fact I will own perhaps one of my worse takes of all time, the one guy I wanted more than Sochan was…Johnny Davis (aka Booker 2.0) 😂

They really got nothing for him wow. Spurs couldn’t wait until the offseason? It seems like it was either because they did right by Sochan by getting him to another team now rather than later despite the lack of suitors, or it was because Spurs wanted to fill that spot with a a bought-out player. It’s most likely the former. Still, kinda sucks we got nothing for him.

Like this for sochan, will have to cheer against him if we face Knicks in the finals.

A ton of potential for Ronnie Fieg/Kith collabs, he’s already creative director for Knicks (or some equivalent title) and designed their city edition jersey. Sochan and his aesthetic match

A potential Spurs-Knicks Finals rematch just got a lot spicier tbh.
Matinee game @ NYK on March 1. Also (I learned today) this is during Spurs Paris Week and the Spurs will be hosting a watch party at Ledger's headquarters in Paris.
