Player The Uncertainty Realm of the Improved Jumpshot of Jeremy Sochan

Watch him sign with OKC :st-lol:
Sochan would seem like he would be petty (anyone remember his Houston and LeBron remarks?), the worst case scenario here is he shares Spurs secrets with the team he joins.

I'm assuming they tried to move him for some sort of asset at the deadline but there were no takers? Maybe maybe not.

Or maybe Carters last game impressed enough to pull the plug on him. Seems he has some interest as a buy out get for a small amount of teams but offers nothing of substance for anyone to trade for.

Addition by subtraction anyway. Good work from the front office. Not wasting anymore of each others time

Not going to lie, it kind of stings because I wanted him to succeed especially with this team. He's still young though and I wish that he gets it together. Also for him to put in work and get a reliable jumpshot. No more fake IG shit.

Jeremy officially becomes the Luka Samanic of Lonnie Walkers

But this feels a lot like finally ending a relationship you've known was over for months... or officially leaving a job you've "quiet quit" for the last year...

Both sides can now move forward. A shame DJG went down, because this roster spot might otherwise be his.

Now, when do we #FreeBismack?

Like do they remake the HEB commercials now? Is this the first time a dude featured in some of them has been traded or released mid season? :st-lol:

They already getting the shower rods ready. Talking about how he was their favorite Spur and how he is gonna go wreck the NBA with some other team.

Not sure why some people are so enamored with him. I want some of what they be smokin'
Yep zero highlight plays to remember him for and just some F Houston meme. It sucks it didn’t work out but when we have Carter Bryant who already looks much better than Sochan ever did, it’s lame to cry over it so much.

you said he's only above average skill is rebounding.. but we know this to be false, so how do you explain it if not with a measurment error?
"We know this to be false" simply because you say so. Sochan grabbed 7.6% of possible O-rebs, the league average has long been right around 5%.
Sochan IS an above average O-Reb, last year he was elite, he's been above average every yr. It not opinion, its a fact.
But don't let reality get in the way of what you know to be true/false.

It would suck if he went to Phoenix and we played them in the first round. They're an already annoying team.

What's gonna be funny is watching Mitch and the rest of the Spurs players have to answer questions about the 15th man on the roster getting released, as though it's something like Wemby going out for the season with DVT.

But when times are good and there isn't much else to talk about, this is "news"

To go from the guy that was at the draft welcoming Wemby with open arms to being waived in his 4th year is insane. Back then, you would think he was gonna be a lifetime Spur.

Just clear he wasn’t very good and part of that blame falls on the coaching staff pre Mitch days. Jeremy had no chance to grow on a tanking team.

Makes sense from the grand scheme of things honestly. I wish we could've traded him and/or Olynyk and a couple SRPs for something, but sounds like the interest wasn't there.
Wish him the best, seems like a good guy overall, but just didn't fit in with the team. We don't have a lot of room for unproven projects right now, any minute that would go to jeremy is just straight up better served going to Bryant for the purposes of player development, and he'd be a massive liability in the POs. He doesn't enable anything that we want to do, and while Castle and Harper do well in other areas to make up for lack of shooting, Jeremy didn't really.

So long brother, can't wait to have you drop 25/12 on 50% 3PT shooting on us in a game in the future

Once the height of Carter Bryant's ceiling started to emerge this was bound to happen. I'm glad the Spurs didn't let this linger and had the balls to go ahead and let him go. Maybe this team can make important roster decisions after all.
