Player The restricted-age video store section of Dylan Harper

If Dylan isn’t starting by opening night season 2 you can expect that to change tbh 😂
If he continues to have anywhere close to the impact he has shown so far (small sample size obviously) he better be starting.

Saw Harper moving and jumping off the bench without the walking boot. i guess good signs about his recovery, but i still think we won't see him until after the coming road trip ( at the earliest Dec 3rd at home vs Memphis)...

As long as Fox is here, Harper won’t start. He’ll be the Manu off the bench and he’ll still play 30 minutes a game

The most annoying thing is that Harper looked better than Castle before he got injured.
Castle significantly improved his game since, but still.

Really looking forward to getting Harper back. Hoping that his minutes will reduce Vassell's time on the court. Seems like Mitch and his Minions have a lot of figuring out of lineups once we have Harper back.

I was thinking the same thing recently. I look at Castle now and how he's playing and wonder if Dylan would also have kept improving more and more as each game went along.

In other injury news, rookie guard Dylan Harper(left calf strain) is "progressing," according to Johnson. Harper first suffered the calf injury on Nov. 2 but is no longer wearing a walking boot on his left leg.

"It's getting better," Johnson said. "He's out of the boot. You've just got to build that thing up. For every day that you were in the boot or off the court, you've probably got to hit it on the other side. It'll be good to have him back on the court ramping up pretty soon."

Looks like whatever time he spent in the boot he’ll spend ramping up. So probably early December.

After a few weeks, I'm pretty confident in stating that Harper is the best rookie right now. I'm pretty happy the Spurs slid to two, tbh.

I dare to say Dylan will fit the starters lineup better than Fox; Dylan is a pass-first PG as opposed to Fox, who is a shoot-first PG

Not a lot of jump on his shots but still a good sign. When I tore my calf, I couldn’t do anything for a month. He’ll probably be back at the beginning of December.
Hopefully you are right. In regard to Dylan's lift, I don't know him well enough, does he usually get a bit of lift on his jump shots?

i love harper as well, but flagg would have been the better fit by a lot.

Still too early to say.....tbh if both achieve their peak form...

Harper being the offensive engine (e.g. aka the 'system' like Harder, Cade, SGA, Haliburton) is much more in demand and rare compare to the all well-rounded swiss army knife type player like Flagg.

I agree that the Spurs really need a legit 3, but Harper is far better than I dreamed. He and Castle are going to be Parker and Ginobili for this squad for at least the next decade.

We might get Harper back in next 7-10 days , which put his absence at 25-27 days total.. Wemby didn't even need a boot, so i'm guessing his recovery will be on the low side of his timeline (2 weeks)

Keldon’s drop from 42% to 24% on threes shows how effective Harper was in getting guys the ball in their spots,

Yeah, Dylan was getting the other guys great shots. I was loving watching him play and pass the ball to teammates. I was anticipating him coming in every game. A lot of those threes Keldon hit, I thought the passes from Dylan really made a difference towards them knocking down the shot. He got them the ball in the flow of the game. The timing of the passes IMO made it easier for them to hit the shot. I can't wait until he comes back. I just hope he's healthy real soon.
