Player The Lifelong Residency of the Ever-Important Heart and Soul of the Spurs, Keldon Johnson

Another great game/effort. He was very gritty in this game. Didn't start out well, but ground it out.

And yes, Harrison is looking completely washed. No idea if he can turn it around or if the Spurs should just go ahead and bench him and start Julian or someone else in his spot. Another radical idea is to just start CB at PF (but not play him big minutes) and see how he goes. I don't think the defense and rebounding can be any worse than what Barnes is showing lately, same goes for the shooting. I think CB can shoot better than what HB is shooting now. HB has been so bad lately, even bringing this up makes me fill a bit ill. Spurs need a better starting PF.

Basketball is more than the basic elements of defense and rebounding - the reason CB is so bad is because he weakens the cohesiveness of the unit he’s with from being out of position or making the wrong decisions.

I was a skeptic going into the season on the friendship group in terms of long term viability on this roster. Keldon has blown me away with his willingness to embrace a

I don't think CB is as out of position as you are claiming. To date, Mitch and staff have been nothing but impressed with his court presence.

I’d say the Buffalo is maybe the best role player. Keldon as best bench player though…

Can't underestimate his impact on the improved record

Really happy for him I always thought there was a way forward for him but wasn't sure he'd get there. Kudos to him and the coaching staff

In (dis)honor of the Inside the NBA crew getting Keldon's name wrong.

Keldon driving hard and purposely bouncing off larger player (Senguin) only to regather himself and either continue the drive or shoot and score.

10/10 Keldon has really got that down pat. Please continue.

I love his friendship with Wemby. I was looking at Spurs highlights pre Wemby days (shudders*) and to see the turnover of players from then to now has got to be so rewarding for KJ. He absolutely deserves to be here and I’m sure he’s on a mental high right now.
