Thats a really good breakdown by usage. A really good visualization that shows how they're trying to fit them all together. Aside form those 4, you also have Keldon and Devin who will at times have significant time as the primary initiator of an offensive set. We are incredibly versatile for the near term and while I think financial constraints will limit this eventually, I think they should 100% embrace this for the next couple of years.

“Mythical” when we needed every single one of Fox’s 28. How does this game prove anything else other than Fox should be the 2nd option in this team and how easier life would be for everyone when Fox is on and his usage is higher? Exactly what a lot of us are advocating/expecting for.
Wemby was having a subpar game until the 4th, Fox and Keldon were carrying the team which is what I ASSUME is what we are paying Fox to do. If you guys wanted a “stable” vet presence that will relent to rookies and sophomores, might as well be paying CP3 the vet min.

Fyi, I've been one of the biggest Fox defenders since the trade happened and blamed most of his issues on Mitch.
Your white knight gimmick is boring, calling someone out for not commenting on what exactly? When you're the guy who pretty much does nothing but "I told you so" posts, but only when things go your way. Nowhere to be seen when they don't.
Part of the deal with having a deep, talented team is individual stats are suppressed for some guys more than others. Fox hasn't had his "all you can eat" role that he had in Sacto as Castle has cut into that quite a bit. This is done clearly at the direction of the coaching staff who are looking to explore what Castle can be when fully formed for better or worse.
It should also be mentioned that Fox was a very limited participant in training camp and had a late start to the season. There have been a handful of games where I would've liked to see a more aggressive version of Fox. As we head towards the playoffs Mitch will need to pare down the rotations and minutes a bit more and stick to the most effective lineups.

That play where Fox is coming off a screen from the right side and gets the handoff by Wemby to attack the paint with his left hand is pretty neat, tbh. We had Draymond (arguably the smartest defender in the league) fooled with that one today.

Fox deserves a lot of props for what he is doing this year.
He is a top30 player, in his prime, who could have made a push to be an all star this season. Instead of that, he sacrificed his offensive touches to let a 21 years old Castle getting better. Few players in his situation would have done that, even with a max extension secured. I'm' impressed.

Exactly... the criticism of Fox is largely just scoreboard watching without context.
His usage, especially since the NBA Cup, has been displaced by Castle's (who hasn't exactly been super efficient over that stretch) which was clearly by design. I don't know if it was a form of load management to preserve Fox, or a developmental plan for Castle, or some combination of both... but I'm encouraged that we seem to be moving away from that and more towards Castle in his more appropriate role and Fox into his... and our offense is starting to look a lot better for it.

nah nah, i cant let this one sit. several of our losses or close wins he's had disappearing acts. its not even about the game where he has abysmal turnovers like against Dallas, its where he is just invisible/passive. and i dont want to hear "but Castle" because we gave Fox a max extension, which does not make sense if he's not going to be the 1B or at worst the #2.

This is a coaching issue. Fox is performing in the role the coach's game strategy has called for.
Has he been perfect every game? Of course not, no one is. But the argument that he should be the 1B or #2 belongs in the Mitch thread, not the Fox thread.

Do you have to order a custom jersey? That's all I see on the NBA Fan Shop. They don't have official player jerseys? I would hate to order a Wemby and Fox and have it turn out they wear some different number in the game.

I got Wemby at launch, wasn’t a custom at that point, maybe they sold through their premades? Jersey I have has his # as 1
And for Fox yeah it has to be custom. His name doesn’t show on the drop down menu yet (probably because just announced). He’s stripes, blue jersey.

Fox deserved it over Castle. Through February 6th, in a composite score of 10 catch-all metrics, Fox ranked 45th while Castle ranked 86th.
It's also better for chemistry if the already sacrificing prime, pedigreed max contract vet is rewarded over the young upstart.
