Player The Layne Staley Depression-Laden Foxhole of De'Aaron Martez Fox

If he's going to be this scaredy-cat choker in every pressure late-game situation, we would be better served if that instance of failure becoming Harper's learning experience and not his. I still think desperation of teams like the Heat or Rockets makes it the right move to dump him while he has some value. We might take a step back in regular season next year, but long term it would pay dividends.
You dont understand. He was the clutch player of the year. He got creampied by Chef curry. He has a lot to teach our guys

fox showing he aint the man for the job to pair up with wemby.Gotta rebound big the next few games. You wanted superstar
money,You better play like a supestar now.Wright needs to be on the hot seat as well for this disaster signing.

Sure glad we got the brain trust of an actual dynasty starts after you player in Harrison Barnes and losing org statpadder fox. We did it!

Yep, he's seemingly incapable of those Donovan Mitchell-esque scoring outbursts anymore. Yes, he took a step back to accommodate Castle and Harper but i thought he could still score an efficient 28-30 points at will and when called upon. But I am not sure about that anymore. He is clearly lost half a step, having more trouble beating defenders off dribble, hence his plummeting FTR leading to more bailout step-backs and, worst of all, his 3 point shot appears to be broken.

If he can't be an adequate sidekick for Wemby at a golden prime age (28), a serious conversation need to be had about his future here in the summer.
First Test: F

They called me crazy for the gary Neal comps
He is 28 (no major injuries)-- which basically 25-26 by new longevity benchmarks-- and yet he appears be the only star player of his age group who has lost a noticeable step. He can't impose his will on a game anymore and is really straining to get to 20 points on most nights, which should be cake in today's NBA. I am extremely alarmed because we are supposed to get his best version/value right now.

I just want him to try to get into the paint and initiate offense. He settles a ton with jumpshots—did the hamstring injury affect him that much? Is it something we should evaluate for next year? If you aren’t playing to your strengths than what are you?

Malakai Branham, Josh primo, bryn forbes could’ve had this game

I had no expectations of him against the big guns (Denver, OKC, Wolves), but you really can't take us home (short trip from Frost Bank) vs this average, flawed, and largely inexperienced Portland team with new owner rocking their boat in middle of a playoffs series? So so underwhelming

Against a team he feasted on in the regular season too. Fox needs to come up for us at Moda. If he doesn’t, I seriously would start making calls. No need to hinder Harper’s playing time anymore.

I sincerely hope Fox shits on everyone of us here tbh. Losing in the first round is going to make me insufferable for 2 months.

It’s the Spurs. Even if Fox shits the bed the rest of the series and they get knocked out, they’re gonna bring him back next year tbh.

Just preparing y’all.

That's just not gonna cut it for a player in Year 1 of a $229m contract presumably giving you his best value at this moment,

Look, I'd rather De'Aaron take jump shots than half the players on the team. I'd rather De'Aaron take a shot than the Russian roulette shit Steph and KJ are throwing up. I still believe De'Aaron has fucked himself over playing the team game throughout the season. He's not in rhythm. He is a lethal offensive player, but he's also a rhythm player. Just like TD was (Even TD did need to be in rhythm when he was in his prime, he was also a rhythm player and didn't have great games if he wasn't in rhythm), De'Aaron needs to get in a rhythm to be at his best, and has changed his game all season not playing that way for most of it. Doesn't look like he can just turn it on. I was hoping he could.

You've seen how he played early in the season when he was the focal point and was the clear 1A when Victor was out. I think that's due to him having the ball more and being able to get in rhythm.
I don't know why I am sticking up so much for him, but I just don't feel he sucks or anything like that. I just don't think it fits his game with the way he's had to play.
He might just not fit on this team because it doesn't allow him to get into rhythm and play to his strengths. He can either keep working at it trying to be better playing this way, or he might just have to go to another team where he'll be a true 1B or 2A.

Fucking driving me nuts seeing Steph air ball shots. YOU SHOULD NOT BE AIRBALLING SHOTS in NBA games if you're a guard (apart from the occasional one that's OK if it's a one off every now and then). Steph's done a lot of mechanical repetition on his shot, but it's going to take a lot for me to believe in his shot. He has no consistency even when I've seen him take shots outside of games. I just don't know if he has any feel for shooting. If he has a modicum of feel, then I feel much better about it, but I don't know if it's just all the repetition he's done that's gotten him to this point.

Scoot Henderson also taking a shit on us sucks. Embarrassing first two games really. Spurs have not looked great in either game. I haven't felt like they've played with playoff intensity at all. They've played with regular season big game intensity.

I also think they were given the wrong advice to just come out and play like they would on a normal game. They needed to come out with way more intensity (even if they made a ton of mistakes because of it early in the game), I think it would have set them up better for both games.

Only 3 30+points games in 72 games played in a season in which Wemby missed 18 games can't be solely explained by "taking a backseat" to accommodate the young guards.

There is a palpable sense that he's lost the explosive ability to manufacture points for himself (career low in free throw rate is a telltale sign). That and never bothering to improve his 3PT shot which is one of the clunkiest-looking for a lead guard-- the combo of which is a recipe for steep and fast decline for his player archetype.
