Player The Inevitable Contract Signing Announcement of David Jones-Garcia

Also take it with a grain of salt but some redditers saying they were at the game and he had to be carried off and could barely move.

Alright, that sounds like a bad injury. Spurs should have had him on the big club roster. Poor guy's worked his ass off and it looks like it might be for nothing.

I wonder if he could have signed with another team for more money/legit NBA contract, but decided to stick with the Spurs in hopes/promise of a real NBA contract. Hopefully he hasn't missed out on all that and it's not serious, but if he had to be carried off, doesn't sound like it isn't serious :(.

I can't reply to this post as I have to go, but I saw the footage. He stepped on the foot of the defensive player while driving to the basket towards the end of the 3rd quarter and turned his ankle sideways. Not sure how serious it is, but hopefully it's not as bad as it looked. He turned it at around 90 degrees sideways.

I have ESPN select, but haven't used it in ages (which wasn't working at first) and I was finally able to watch the footage (thanks for the tip of ESPN+).

I dont know why we havent given Jmac’s slot to this dude tbh

Sucks for him to be injured before he can make noise in the ASW

That's suck....He is a shot creator player which is very rare...really wish Mitch could try give him some min

Grain of salt and all but the guy who made the reddit thread said he heard the stockton kings coaches say they heard a pop... damn. Dude was playing his way into an nba contract.

That's f$#ked. He didn't even grab the ankle when he was on the ground, but looked in severe pain. On the surface it looks like a real bad sprain. but the way he fell and the amount of pain he seemed to be in, it could be a bad one.

Man, I hope this doesn't ruin it all for him.

Yea I didn’t mention that part of the Reddit post because those witness accounts are notoriously unreliable. It’s like when a shooting happens and initial witness reports always say there were like 3 shooters etc yet it turns out to be 1.

can't find anything online. Hope it's nothing serious cause he got offered way more money to play overseas. Was also looking forward to seeing him on All-Star weekend.

I am hoping for DJG's sake that it is just a nasty ankle sprain and nothing beyond that. People just have strange pain tolerances. I've seen Anthony Davis get hurt and look like he would be out 6 months and then is listed day-to-day.

I feel like he could've gotten picked up by an NBA team and gotten some minutes but he seems to want to be in the Spurs program. Look at Jamaree Bouyea with the Suns, he is getting solid minutes yet based on everything I saw DJG is the better player.
