Player The Haggard Falcon Rest Home of Harrison Barnes

He's been bad for long enough to be very concerned. It's just over three weeks until the trade deadline. He's a good expiring contract but a good dude. Spurs history indicates they keep him. But if he can't show signs of life soon, they they have to see what they can get. It's not like he's a great defender so even trading for a poor defender with a great shot works.

From "just a dry spell" to completely unplayable in 2 weeks…. tragic. Time to take this bum out to pasture tbh.

It’s not an accident that it’s coincided with our sub-500 record over the last 10 games. The concern is the team was so reliant on his shooting early, which papered over the glaring shooting weaknesses we all saw coming out the gate.

While I do appreciate the team is ahead of schedule, I hope we get some help at the deadline. I’m increasingly of the view that they need to see Vic’s window as shorter than most Centers given his unique physical make up. May change my mind on this, but Id like to see Vic out there without a minutes restriction for at least 10 straight games.

I think that perception is colored by how annoyingly conservative the medical staff is tbh. it’s not like they’re the final authority on sports science

I think Sean really regrets that nickname right now, but it would be too awnkward to stop using it, so he has to double down on it.
If Sean keeps on referencing Mr. 💯 I want to include him on the trade with Barnes 😂

I know that he is a Spurs legend and I might be in the minority on this one, but I think Sean Elliott is a really bad broadcaster. Sorry.
He can be a bit homerish but he also can admit when the Spurs get favorable calls. I think he was much better when he was partnered with Bill Land who had way more charisma than Tobey does.

I do like when Sean doesnt hold back to call out our guys when they are playing lifeless against crappy teams.

As much as I love Danny Green, he hasn’t been a good broadcaster for us when he calls games lol.

I do agree the younger partner is not the best fit for him.

Spurs won’t trade him imo, I think the idea will be to ride it out and see if he improves, something something good veteran presence in the locker room.

Im still hoping we look to make a move but it’s looking less likely, think even upper management may be surprised at how well we started the season and they’ll hold on to the summer to do any retooling and just roll with what we have. Unless a crazy offer comes in for Jeremy which I highly doubt given the 0 playing time

@Dbreiden83080 is fine, tbh. Lol.

Like I said, he doesn’t have Bill Land’s enthusiastic energy to match off of anymore. So all we have left is the corny “Mr. 100%” stuff and smelling salts and eating sessions during the game. I also miss when Timmy and Bowen would mess with Sean pregames lol. But I remember a lot of non Spurs fans back then hated our broadcast because Sean was always a homer. Hell, Demarcus cousins almost wanted to beat him up that one time.

I like Sean as an announcer. The appropriate amount of homerish and knowledgeable about the game. He shoots the facts more than not, and I agree about having a younger partner is not ideal for him. The food segment carries on way too long in the third. Not to mention when they have a guest in the booth, so to say.

Fun fact, I worked at Sean Elliott’s pet store off 281 for a couple of months one summer before college 😆 I bet most don’t remember he owned a pet store….

Is Tim Duncan‘s car shop still in business?

I like Sean a lot, but I got sick of the Mr. 100% thing two months ago (Well before Harrison's slump). Using that saying at any point now would just look silly.
I even said it, but no one here said much. I mean, it's Harrison Barnes, not Steph Curry. I knew it'd backfire, but didn't realize it would get anywhere near this extent.

Look I’m a 5’9” Chicano in his mid 40s… I’m not saying I would be able to do better… but it would be close
And who knows, your shooting might actually turn the corner if you got some playing time.

Not sure if Barnes has any trade value left.

Guys....I think we just treat Barnes as previous season CP3. Continue Mitch's promise to start him for the rest of the season and good riddance after season ends.

last year was not a competitive year so I was fine starting CP3, especially after Wemby blood clot.

you’re effectively wasting a contending year keeping this POS in a starting/prominent role. getting rid of him is addition by subtraction.

plus cp3 is a legend. tf has harrison Barnes done to deserve this kind of respect
